I hate to do this as I’ve had some great visits to this location but some additional training is needed at this store, customer service-wise . I ordered two iced drinks and two pastries, to go, about 15 min before I arrived. I walked into the store five minutes before my order was supposed to be ready. The employee at the point of sale was very dismissive off the bat and said my order would be up soon. The two other customers in line with me were also to go orders. 6 or 7 other customers come in, try to order, and then I hear the point of sale employee saying ‘ so sorry our grinder is broken, we’re out of iced coffee, we’re out of xyz pastries, etc.’ to all the customers that weren’t to go orders. I wait 20 minutes and finally go up to the bar and ask if I missed my order. The barista making the drink barely looks at me and says ‘let me check.’ No apology, no sorry about that, nothing. Five more minutes of me standing there with three more people who came in after me being served and I was all the way done. Went up to the register, let them know I’d been waiting for over 20 minutes and I want to just cancel my order. The point of sale employee did have the good grace to look chagrin and mumble an apology but at no time did anyone try to make it right or let me know why my order was taking so long. Where was the manager or additional assistance due to all the issues they were having? And for the love all that is holy, turn off online ordering if that much product is out of stock and things are going wrong, especially if you are as understaffed as they were today. At minimum, a third person should have been there to help but the manager was not doing their job and all the employees on that shift need further training to handle tough situations like the one above. Besides myself, at least two other customer also just left as everything they wanted to order was out. I worked at Starbucks for years so I know exactly how hard it can be during days like these but damn… the customer service bar is in...
Read moreWent in yesterday for the fir time and I absolutely loved it at first. I just wanted to sit and read for a bit and I tried a few of the things on the menu and they were great. The customer service of the employees in the early morning was very sweet and the atmosphere was great they were super helpful and cheery, their conversation was quiet but anytime they spoke loudly it was always very positive. I asked how long I could stay and she told me I was welcomed to stay as long as I liked. I did make sure to order about $15-20 worth of items to compensate for how long I’d be taking up a table.
Things changed when more of the employees showed up and a few of them started joking within earshot about customers saying some really rude things about people and their orders.
I was there for about 2 1/2 hours and I was just reading and I overhead an employee ask another employee how long I’d been there and if I was going to buy anything else. At that point I felt it was time for me to leave since I no longer felt welcomed, the early morning employees were phenomenal. The employees that came in around 10:30-11 were just distasteful and made me feel very unwelcomed. They are welcomed to feel the way they feel but I felt it was very unprofessional and unwelcoming to do it in earshot of customers.
I do plan to return simply based on my initial experience but it will always be in the early morning with the phenomenal employees...
Read moreI've been coming here almost since they first opened and I used to like how it was a nice comfy place to hang out with friends & familly and a "like home feeling" but lately this place has become more focused into building a money making machine. This used to be my hang out place and I used to buy a lot of drinks here but in the past two years the prices have almost doubled and the cup sizes have gotten smaller and customer satisfaction is not their top priority like it was before...yes the coffee is a bit better than before but I can find better coffee at Davis St. espresso and for less money and great customer service.
The "New Rhino" is more focused in making more profit than making customers happy, they recently brought in new furniture to fit more people inside (big tables with stools all around) if you like a super crowded place and can hear other peoples breathing than this is the place for you, but if you need your space just go outside, they are also getting rid of the VIP program (again to increase profit and they don't care what the customers think) It seems like they want to get rid of the old customers and replace them with new sheeple that have no idea what a good customer experience or good value for your money should be like.
Bottom line:
Profit is their new priority Place is almost always overcrowded, (not a good hangout place anymore) Not a good...
