Time for an update 4.2.23 Cedar Hill TX We have been here many times since our last review so it's time to do it again. Diane had the appetizer combo with quesadillas, flautas, bean and cheese nachos, guacamole and sour cream. Everything is always fresh and they are never skimpy with the servings. This was no exception. I had the 1/2 order of combo fajita beef and chicken meat nachos. I'm glad I got a half because I ended up taking almost half of it home. They flavor their meats really well and it is yummy. The only complaint I've had in the past is that we've had to ask then to turn down the music because we couldn't hear each other talk but this time it was nice and subdued. Please read the old reviews below for more information. Love this place, highly recommended two thumbs-up 👍 👌
Wonderful Mexican food in a renovated home. Mom and Dad had chicken fajitas for one and I had a combo of two beef tacos and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. The chicken was not only grilled but seasoned, tender and plentiful. The enchilada was a quality cheese and the tacos were loaded with beef. Everything was very good. 👍👍 Recommended! One of the great cultural gifts brought to the Union by the wonderful country of Texas. Tex-mex! A lot of flavorful Mexican dishes done with a Texas flare. Even though I reviewed this the other week I shall again. You know how some places are good one time and you don't recognize it the next but Campuzanos' is not one of them. Appetizer plate with bean and cheese nachos, chicken flautas, beef quesadillas with sour cream and guacamole. Mom and Dad had their usual of chicken fajitas. Once again the food was plentiful, flavorful and fresh. Steaming skillet of chicken (you can see the steam) , flautas crispy and stuffed with chicken and homemade salsa with chips. Now for another one of those great cultural...
Read moreWe are new to Cedar Hill and looking for new go-to favorite spots. As soon as we pulled in the parking lot, we knew it was a popular place. We were greeted with a sign on the door that says they do not serve people with a strong smell of marijuana. Love that! Even though the restaurant was clearly very busy, we were promptly seated. Our server was great; she was very fast and attentive. We ordered drinks, they came out fast. We ordered our food and it was fast, too. The whole atmosphere is jumping and the restaurant meticulously renovated and decorated. Most people were dressed very nicely. I like that in a restaurant. Nicely dressed patrons. It makes the restaurant feel higher end. Everything was very fresh. My husband ordered the fajita fiesta platter and the shrimp were huge! Everything on his plate looked great! I had the fish tacos. Very yummy. The charro beans were awesome! My only complaint would be they serve fish tacos on corn tortillas and the weight of the fish and other things in the taco did not hold and my tortillas broke on the bottom so I had to eat them with a knife and fork. That’s where my 4 stars out of 5 come from. Otherwise, everything on my plate tasted wonderful and it wasn’t a deal breaker, but I would recommend they use two tortillas per taco, cook them a little longer so they aren’t so soft, or use flour tortillas. I love fish tacos, and I don’t think I’ve ever experienced all of my fish tacos break apart like that so that was a little disappointing. I kept noticing the servers walking past with several different fun-looking frozen drink concoctions on their trays that looked really good. Now that I know that, I will be going back soon to try a few of those! Overall, Campuzano did not disappoint and we left, knowing we...
Read moreI visited this place over the weekend. The customer service was horrible! Our waitress was Jaqueline. She was very unfriendly, difficult, and made me feel uncomfortable. She seemed unhappy being there. I had such a horrible experience here! I originally just wanted tacos without beans and rice. I don't like the rice and beans! I asked her if I could order just tacos, but she said they don't sell single tacos. Then she said I could order some from the menu BUT not the carne asada ones. Those were the ones I wanted! I ended up having to order shrimp. I don't understand why she was being difficult with my order. When they brought the tacos out they brought them just with the corn tortilla and shrimp. They were as plain as they could be with none of the fixings that tacos usually come with. I was expecting pico on the side or some cilantro and onions and a slice of lemon. The tacos were bare, super plain, and had no flavor. When I asked her if she could bring me some cilantro she said that it was going to be extra and she was again bothered that I was asking for cilantro. I just needed to add some kind of flavor to my tacos! It was so tacky that she was actually wanting to charge me extra for something that should already be included with the $3 taco!! She also took FOREVER to bring the cilantro! AND my tacos got cold. I had to ask her to reheat the tacos. It was just such a bad experience coming here! I will definitely never go back! We always love to leave a good tip, but we didn't leave a tip because her service was horrible!!! Extremely unfriendly! I hate going to placed where the staff seems miserable...
