The line tonight 12/23/24 was super long. Like a 35 or 40 minute wait. The problem was an employee was allowing one customer to monopolies her time by searching for items online, the customer left the line to go look for items she put back of left , she even sent her daughter to go back looking for items. It was awful. Good customer service is appreciated but on the eve of Christmas Eve was not the time to be this helpful, not at the expense of other customers time, plus I suffer from a chronic illnessthat cause muscle weakness. I had to find places to try to sit along the way. I even called Ms. Deseree, the floor manager up to see if she could help speed the process up. No help, then when I get to the register the young African American lady with super thick eyelashes, wearing a lavendar shirt and jeans, a curly ponytail on top of her head, refused to assist me. Then stated I threw my receipts at her when I actually dropped them on the floor. Then to simply walk away refusingto check me out. When she walked away, even the floor manager asked her where she was going and if she told her customer. The whole scene was too much, totally unnecessary. The young worker accusing me was a lie. Ms. Deseree the floor manager even stated that if I had thrown something at the worker, store security would have been on the scene super quick. So she too knew the young lady was lying. I never raised my voice. I only shared that when it's this crowded and a customer needs extra assistance you should consider the ones waiting in line. I wish I had the young woman's name. I didn't think to ask. But please know I will do my best to find out. I need an apology and she should be reprimanded!!! The only employee with a sense of urgency was the AA lady with gray hair. Read moreNot enough help at this store...very short staffed around there. I placed a special order for some custom wooden shutters & went to the store to get an update. I asked for the lady who helped me by the name of Monica Hawkins who was very nice in helping and explaining everything to me. I was told by a supervisor, (LOD) I believe they call them, by the name of Paula, who had no idea of how to help me and didn't seem very interested in researching where my special order for my wooden Bali shutters were. I left the store with no answers.
The only person who was always around to assist me was Monica and now she's no longer there. It seems to me, that JCPenney loses their good employees. I called the store the next day, 8/10/2018, and spoke with another lady by the name of Kesha who is supposed to call me back after she researches where my order is. She called back but wasn't sure where it was. I told her that Monica had told me that she keeps the custom orders by the cash register in a file cabinet. Kesha said okay & that she will call me back again. I guess because it got close to closing time that she will hopefully call me back tomorrow with an update. In closing, all I can say is that the cost for my special order has been charged to me but no ideal of where my order is so I can get an update of the status. This isn't fair to me to be charged for a product I don't have nor know when I will receive it if the order is even found. They should really get Monica back as she seems to be the only one who knew what was going on with the custom...
Read moreCustomer service is trash. LOD tonight was also super rude and refused to help me. I'm trying to price match and they even had their price match guarantee policy right next to the registers. They all looked at me and said "we don't do that". When it is clearly printed in store for everyone to see. I called customer service and they did confirm it is something that should be honored in store. Which is ridiculous for all employees who are working for the company and not know their policies. I clearly showed them and one of the girls at the register sat the entire time and didn't even bother to acknowledge what I was saying or showing her. DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE! I would like thr GM to contact me in regards of this ASAP, this is time sensitive and companies should not be advertising policies and not honoring them or lying to their customers.
14 days to price match and it is listed on the website and receipt refers to the jcp website for full details. And yet no one can help me. I look forward to hearing from the manager or owner about this to get this resolved as soon...
