Sorry to the ones that like this place but this was my first time ever going to a Cotton Patch restaurant. The reason why I gave this rating is because I Went on Sunday May 25 (as soon as it open like it was only about 10-15 people there.) I ordered chicken & dumplings, cabbage, black eyed peas, Cornbread (Poly-Pescatarian brunch) all of that was cold as ice. Especially for it to have been just opened.
I had a waitress I have forgotten her name now. She came around and got all of the drink orders (I’m not going to act like a big table of guest wasn’t seated before my party but It was only 2 of us. We were ready to order our drink and food. The server tells us thy she is just taking the drinks right now and will be back for our order. The table of 8-10 wasn’t even ready to order yet. So by then I became annoyed and asked her again she repeated the same thing so now I’m mad and wait for my drink, the person that is accompanying me was ready to order and asked if we could order by this time she is bringing drinks. So I repeated what she told me twice with annoyance. I went to the restroom came back. The big table that was seated before us still wasn’t ready to order. But then we have a new waitress. There is nothing to complain about the 2nd waitress she did her job. But it would have been better to excuse herself DTTF she does have a big table and not just shove us off. It was better to get us out of the way especially since it took them 10-20 mins to decide. The both of us had never been to Cotton Patch and at this point don’t want to come back the food and service was horrible. The party that I was with soup was hot and it did taste pretty good and I’m not a soup eater. My service in particular that I received...
Read moreWorked 2 shifts, at 77yo mom's insistence came onsite, placed to-go order with young WM for 1) prime rib cooked medium well with loaded baked potato, mac n' cheese, peach cobbler; then I ordered 2nd meal, meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. Paid $43, went to store next door. 13-15 minutes later, I came back onsite, spoke with Gina, handed "my" food and left for home. As I'd just got off work, I headed to change my clothes, turned shower on, and heard my mom agitately call out for me. I hurried back to my mom's room. She was angry and upset. The food I'd been given was NOT our order. It was 2 chicken fried steak meals. I redressed and headed back to the restaurant. SPoke briefly with Gina who looked at ticket & food given and was told a mistake had been made, wrong ticket on the wrong food. She checked all the to-go orders on the front storage rack and located mine. I asked if it could be checked before I left and we found that the 2 extra rolls, meatloaf ketchup, & baked potato fillings I'd asked for were missing. I asked Gina how this could happen and explained how inconvenient and frustrating this had been. She apologized, stated she was not sure what happened but would speak with the staff and grabbed the rolls & meatloaf ketchup.I asked for my receipt and left my name/number for the manager to follow-up. Gave mom's the followup bag, showered, changed clothes, checked on mom who was not really eating food, baked potato chesse, sour cream, etc. was still missing and steak was cooked well done and was tough. When I attempted to call back to restaurant, phone system had entered me in recurring loop to press 3 for "other"...
Read moreI have eaten at this location for years. Went with my family today, 8/7/22. Waited for at least 30 minutes for a table, not bad. Waited for 45 minutes for our food. In that 45 minutes, the bread, butter, plates, and 2 napkins for 6 people were brought to the table. We had to dip our rolls in the butter dishes to get butter on them. In this 45 minutes, a couple that was seated well after us already had their food on their table, by the time our food came, they were practically done. We asked for utensils at least three times. The excuse for the delay was that the washer hadn't washed the new batch of utensils. My mother went to the manager to at least get some plastic ware. We finally got some more napkins. The food took a bit to all get placed on the table. The food all tasted fine with no issues. We had stated early in the meal how the tickets were to be done yet everyone was on one ticket. There was a single elderly gentleman sitting near us in a booth and it took him almost 30 minutes to get anything. He finally had to get up and go to the counter to get any service.
With all that said, here is where your expectations need to be for this location. If you want fast service, order online and get it to go. This is their #1 priority. If you want to dine in, read #1. If you want good service, read #1. If your good with sitting for what seems like an eternity to get service or food of any kind, set your expectations in line with #1. Lastly, if your in a hurry but want to dine in, read #1.
Do you get the picture? Last time for a LONG time before I go back. It is sad to say this as it was a favorite of my family's for...
