Shake's Frozen Island — Restaurant in Cedar Park

Excellent custard and desserts; prices have gone up, though reasonable. Concern over new menus that do not have pricing or selection listed.

I have been coming to Shakes since they opened years ago and always loved the frozen custard, sundaes, and other deserts. Most servers do a great job, loading up extra toppings. Prices were reasonable, though they recently went to a regular/small with their sundaes, raising the price for the larges (which were the originals). One thing that concerns me is that Shakes put up new menus over a month ago and have not added prices or the names of what they are serving. When I asked a server why this was, they said "I'm not sure; I believe they expanded the menu and added more choices, maybe that's why," not really answering my question. I am concerned because this gives the impression that 1)The company can charge different prices one day to the next and no one would know and 2) newcomers wouldn't even know what's on the menu to get. Visiting Shake's is always a highlight of my day. I order the Concrete with chocolate custard and peanut butter with PB Cup in it, so I don't have a take on any other item on their menu.

The custard is always smooth, creamy and delicious. And the toppings ate always top notch and never stale. As a peanut butter fiend, it's always delicious to have that chocolate and PB combo.

There's only two problems - the drive thru line is slow, but I'm okay with them putting extra effort into their creations. For a better experience, I'd recommend getting out of the car to go to the window, but in today's age of pandemic, I felt better going through the drive thru.

The other problem was very surprising - I asked for a water for a water (tap water) to go with the custard but they charged me for it. I wasn't happy with that, but it wasn't enough to color my perception of my experience.

Custard is great, but only if you don't mind the wait! And skip...

This is now the original and only shakes location after the one in Georgetown switch to a different ownership and rebranded as Frozen flamingos

Dislocation still has do all the original flavors keeps things going with concrete custard Frozen up but just right with all kinds of mixings did you can do from cheesecake cookie dough Oreo to cherry banana blueberry raspberry strawberries and just about every other combination and put in between including as well accustom ice cream cake custom shakes custom banana split combos!

The customer service staff here do all they can to alternate the chairs to the shade area with drive-thru and pick up orders as well

Also one of the few locations open till 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday!
