Avoid this location. Our first visit they just forgot to give us our take-out order placed in-restaurant so it just sat there getting cold until they finally realized I was waiting inside right near the counter with the number I was asked to put into the order terminal. They even told me, “it will be out any minute” when I asked after a long wait and the place was practically empty. Finally, when it was realized our order was left there to get cold I was not offered any compensation or a remake. I wasn’t about to wait another 30 minutes anyway. Well, ignorantly I gave them another chance today. After placing my order I come to find out the terminal I used had a broken touchless pay, which is the only option to pay BTW. When I brought it to an employee’s attention the response was a shrug and “try another one.” I’m not a helpless idiot, I had already done that but wanted to inform them so they could place an out-of-order” sign or investigate to keep other patrons from wasting time. Then 20 minutes after placing my order it comes out with undercooked bacon to which the response was “it comes precooked and we just warm it up on a timer”. I get the same SmokeShack burger every time and the bacon has never looked remotely undercooked like this. The manager asked if I wanted “burnt bacon” to replace it to which I said yes but after waiting maybe another 10 minutes I decided to leave. When we went to eat our food I had soggy dough for buns and the saltiest fries that were pretty inedible. The only positive thing was the patties were actually well-done as requested instead of the usual solid...
Read moreThis was a bad experience all the way around. It reminds me of the "California Effect", where customer service is non-existent. Ordering by kiosk only. No available drink refills. We spent $33 on two VERY SMALL hamburgers, some horrible (excuse) for fries (just like In and Out Burger) and one of the drinks we got was in a frozen CAN... everything is outrageous and overpriced. As others have said, when there's no staff to serve you, and no ability to pay cash, this is not a place where you want to go. People are clamoring for this whole "cashless" thing, but they don't realize the rights and autonomy you're (so) willing to give up to obtain it. It got busy right after we got there, so obviously, people are wanting this. But I can tell you that the "cheese sauce" they put on the fries was worse looking (and tasting) than the cheese sauce you put on your nachos from 7-11... the bacon was uncooked as well. My wife's bun was actually COLD to the touch... wow. It truly shocks me when places like this can succeed when Whataburger is better and at a lower cost.
UPDATE: I appreciate Shake Shack responding, but since there was no paper receipt option to be printed, I just waived my getting one by email, so I don't have it. But nothing you could do would change the experience we had (even if it were free) so not sure why businesses still feel they can "do something" about the experience after the fact. The time to do something right is the FIRST time you have an experience with a business, not after. Its just an attempt at damage control...
Read moreHad no idea a shake shack was here so on a whim I decided to order food through the drive thru. The building looked nice, but driving around the parking lot was horrendous. The design for the parking lots in the area was definitely odd. I ordered a regular burger and fries. There was no one else around, but it still took a very long time getting the food. After biting into the tasteless burger, I noticed it wasn't cooked at all. I had to spit it out because it was completely raw. I threw that thing in the trash. I'm not sure what took them so long to make the food if it wasn't even cooked. The fries were also tasteless and had no salt on them. No amount of ketchup could fix it, so they also went in the trash. I also didn't like that they just piled the food on top of each other without wrapping it. Something like that is fine if eating inside, but not for the drive thru because that just makes everything messy. This place is definitely overpriced and overrated. I spent too much money here not to even get to eat the food that I ordered. Maybe it's a good thing because not liking the food has just saved me a...
