Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

I will say as a long time customer of Jimmy John’s and having ordered almost once a week with this location since I work from home, today will be the last. It is not because my sandwich wasn’t made correctly today, but the fact the manager Adam implied that I was not being honest and asked that the original sandwich be given to driver when they send out a replacement. Especially in the pandemic -you would think that receiving an item that someone has already bitten into is not the safest. I’m sorry for any deliveries made after the driver touched my old sandwich. The negligence of this manager and the driver confirming that they needed the sandwich to be sure I wasn’t lying is why I won’t buy again. Too bad because I was a great customer. Marion’s location would deliver to me even though I was right outside the delivery area (which they now delivery to squaw creek because of me) and the Kirk wood location who knew of me as the hot pepper lady and even gifted me with a whole container of their peppers. I used to go to this Jimmy John’s all the time but something has changed in the last few months. First the sandwiches are smaller. I’m not sure if that’s a JJ’s shrinkflation thing or if it’s just this store

What is just this store is the staff. They aren’t out right rude just short and less than helpful. This time when I went in I ordered a giant and the lady handing it to me seemed unsure if the order was even mine. I was also confused because it was in a standard size bag. Instead of explain they had cut the sandwich in half, she just awkwardly stared at me.

Last time I was in there were 5 employees working but they all waited for one person to not only take my order but then also make my sandwich.

Both times my request of extra mayo was ignored which just may be a difference in what is considered “extra”.

I stopped in to get lunch, as I do at this location often. I ordered and received my request promptly. But upon paying they informed me that there CC machine is down and they would have to take the info manually. I did not have a card on me since I usually pay with G-PAY. Instead of telling me sorry come back when you have some money, they said dont worry about it and get us back later. This to me was over and above and deserved a review. Brian is the gentlemen that helped me and for this level of customer service, I will be eating here often...
