Paul Revere's Pizza — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

This is crazy, I have never experienced just not getting my order before but tonight that's what seemed to happen.

At one point several years ago it was hands down best pizza in town, 2x over. Over the last year or two, this place has gone way downhill from the last many times I've ordered - from inconsistent quality, timeliness, to now excuses and this terrible new website and tonight just does it.

I have the flu, my oldest had band solo ensemble at school all night that my wife took him to. I'm wiped out so at 7 I ordered a pizza and scheduled it to be here at 8:15.

It wasn't here which was fine, I didn't have a strict deadline and just knew the band stuff would be done at 8. I called at 8:30, Shelby, full of attitude and all annoyed, told me "yep we had a few delivery orders come in right before yours, yours will be next out the door." Then hung up on me without any sort of eta or customer service.

30 minutes later I still don't have any food, my kids are complaining they're hungry it's now just after 9 and I'm very aware they close but we still have business, so I call to make sure things are still on. They let me ring for a full minute before someone hangs the call up, so we start making dinner to feed my kids. My wife calls again a few minutes later, Shelby picks up the phone with an even more annoyed tone immediately stating 'we're closed'. Acts like I didn't call earlier asking, now says she can't cancel the order (though, it seems like she figured it out) and all we can do is 'call corporate'. Dude wow, corporate huh? Delivery showed up a few minutes later - well over an hour late (that I tipped 20% on too lmao), I turned it away and even the driver was kind of a jerk complaining that he's the only driver and they closed at 8:30 like I ordered too late so it's my fault.

Customer service is extremely non existent. Friend and I ordered 2 pizza's, 2 stuffed crusts. They called me for my order, to tell me they don't make stuffed crusts, that's its stuffed pizza, ala Calzone style, and said they can't refund me. Terrible. But what ever I switched my crust to regular. Got regular. My friend called to make sure his was going to be made properly as well. Asked for the same thing, regular crust. His was delivered got a Terminator Calzone, with corporates number. He called them back and they essentially said they couldn't do anything so they sent him the wrong pizza full well knowing it was the wrong pizza, and to call corporate to solve it.

They hung up on him. He called back wondering why the pizza was sent wrong, instead of just making the correct pizza. They again, said they couldn't remake it and instead sent the wrong pizza with corporates number. Hung up on him again. This repeated 6 or 7 times. They eventually threatened to call the police on him for trying to get his correct order. The employee's were yelling at my friend blaming him for tying up their phone lines and they are to busy to fix his order and to HAVE A GOOD NIGHT.

First time I've ordered from them tonight. After my friends experience, I will NEVER order from here again. Absolutely...

We are new to town and wanted to give this place a try. Terrible experience. Order one large cheese and a dessert pizza - they told us 20 min. I walked in after 25 min, not ready yet no problem. Walked back in after 40 min and was told there was a mixup so they needed 10 more min. At 50 min they tried to give a cheese pizza that had been out of the oven and in a box for over 20 min and a hot dessert pizza (pretty sure they mistakenly gave away the dessert pizza to someone else and had to remake). I asked the manager about the pizza that had been sitting out and he got very defensive (asked me what he is supposed to do). I was hoping for just a small amount of customer service - unfortunately he was offended by that expectation. Got my money back. Some of the other workers had some choice words while I was on my way out. Don’t plan on giving this one a second try.

I was ok with the longer than expected wait but trying to give me a pizza that had been sitting out and then getting hassled by the employees for wanting a fresh pizza (especially from the manager)! That’s just nuts. There are too many other pizza places nearby to waste your time...
