Salsa Guy Cafe — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

It was Salsa Guy Café’s 2nd day open and the drive through line and parking lot were very busy for lunch hour so I had a bit of a wait but when I inquired about my food my ticket had gotten lost so they quickly apologized gave me a free refill and bag of homemade potato chips. They can add egg to any burrito to make it a breakfast burrito, so my veggie burrito was mixed with egg and smothered with queso. My drink was made like a mock-tail with the rim covered in blue sugar it was delicious but it did leave my lips a little blue so if you’re going back to work you may want to skip the blue rim. This is a great place for fresh, high quality food. I had the Chicken Tenders and I was blown away by how good they were. Tender Juicy Chicken, a really great breading with a very nice spice to it. These may be the very best Chicken Tenders in Cedar Rapids. The fries were also great. The service was fast and fantastic. The place is spotless. It may not be the easiest place to get to, but trust me it is well worth the effort. Don't be discouraged if it looks like the lot is full form the road, there is plenty of parking along the side and in back, and plenty of seating inside. I heard good reviews about the Salsa Guy Cafe and was glad that they opened a second restaurant. I met friends there and the atmosphere was great. I had a half turkey alfalfa sandwich and a cup of chili. Both the sandwich and chili were delicious. I was impressed that the owner went to each table to check to see if they were satisfied.
