Wendy's used to be consistent and delicious, to the point they seemed unfailable. This location in particular has always had a lot of issues tbh, the last 4 times I've came through drive through in the last year, each time has had its own issues.. most recently, about 2 months ago, my daughter and I went through the drive through and ordered a very simple little order of a Dave's single with just ketchup, a value double chs burger with just ketchup, a medium fry and a 4pc nugget, but only after arriving to the ordering speaker and being asked to wait to place it. They were not busy, by any means. We waited and waited,to the point I thought they'd forgotten about us. So I say "excuse me, hello?" In my most polite voice possible. They answered and then told us to go ahead (with the order). After it was placed and paid, we sat at the 2nd window for about 2 minutes before we were asked to pull up to the stores door about 10 feet ahead where we would inevitably sit and wait there for a good 15 minutes -at least. Then out came this black guy with our food, hands it through the window quickly doesn't say anything, and then goes back inside. We take the food back home about 15 miles away and as we are about to eat start noticing things were incorrect and missing. The fries were not just cold they were old, behind their acceptable range if time even considering the drive time factored in. Inedible they were. Then on my daughters and my sandwiches we notice the burgers loaded with onions pickles, tomato, ketchup mustard you name it, my daughter will not eat anything that onions have been on and yes she can tell. So I call to talk to someone about the order we just got, I asked to speak to a manager and the man says "I am the manager" so I tell him what happened and that our food was wrong as well as cold, to both comments of which he replied "no it wasnt" I tried to insist that I was very serious but he wasn't interested in any sort of criticism or correction made towards our order. I was in the middle of explaining I live out of town and he hung up on me. I waited til morning and I called as well as emailed corporate about this. Haven't seen him since, how strange đ€đđ»
Update : we went back two weeks ago and were in line. We ordered and were the 3rd back from the payment window. My toddler tells me urgently she has to pee so I try to assess if she can hold it a few minutes longer- she can't. So I pull out of the line and around the building to park by the open lobby doors. I ask my oldest to run in and Inform the staff that we're doing things this way & prevent them from thinking we took off completely /discarded the food order. After the toilet I met with my oldest who was struggling to let someone know, every staff member in the whole place were black women besides one very awkward white male who did not seem to want to be there. We kept getting side eyed and when I told him we got out of line, they overheard and seemed really upset as they were all giving us full on shitty looks and saying things amongst each other while being unwilling to help us as we...
Read moreI absolutely love paying premium prices just to have my order wrong. There's a lot more issues in general with fast food chains and customers are leaving in droves over it. We are absolutely get sick of long wait times unless you're in drive through, old fries even though it takes 20 minutes to get the food
and for crying out loud keep your ketchup dispenser stocked.
No one want to rip open 10 damn ketchup packets, birth said ketchup packets and then tear open 30 tiny paper pepper packets. You know how long that takes?? Even if you get fresh fries with quick food delivery the fries aren't fresh after that process.. bring back the damn salt and pepper shakers at the tables, the pandemic is over đ
Seriously this irks me
Wendy's in general is pretty good as a whole but they are on a fast decline. It's sad because they have been my go to spot for years; I went on a 10 year eating strike with McDonald's over constantly putting pickles on a burger when asked for none. Wendy's is impeccable when it comes to assembling a well assembles sammich so kiddos to you on that!!
10/17/24 10:30 pm 42nd ST Ordered a Dave's double no sauce and pickle ad ghost pepper ranch. Got a single jr with everything else correct.. do better, people work hard and people need to realize how absolutely infuriating it is to go to an establishment and constantly get there orders wrong whilst paying premium prices.
Wendy's has increasingly gotten worse on giving correct orders. Don't get me wrong, they are no where on the level of McDonald's on messing up orders.

Remember how chipotle had people recording them putting together the bowls because they where skimping on ingredients, specifically the proteins and the ceo came out and said if you want a little extra give them the look? If you haven't look it up he got roasted online for it. Remember the "chipotle look" because I had to give it to a shorter, younger albino kid. No judgement, he's just albino.
I ordered in the lobby a "larger chili with all the extras and hot sauce".
He asked would you like cheese and onions. I replied is that an extra? He said nothing and added it on. This is important to note because it signals he heard and understood my original request.
He then asks if I want sour cream and this is when I gave him the "chipotle look" and he understood the assignment
He did offer a lid once once given the chili so I did actually appreciate it even tho it was a dine in order.
Everything is on the screen, read it and if you can't function high at work don't come to work stoned. Or maybe smoke a jizzy and not blizzy.
I don't think Collins road kid was high or necessarily the ones at 42nd street but we all have been in the restaurants/fast food and if you...
Read moreThere is a younger girl in there that will treat you differently if you are a white person let me preface this with this was not my first awful experience with her but will hopefully be the last, today (January 31st 2025) at around 4:15 pm I stopped in on my lunch break to go through the drive through, she sees me pull up to the menu (probably recognized me from out previous interaction) and I was then basically forced to go into the lobby due to not being served at the drive through. When I get to the counter I'm faced with a staunch attitude from this girl and no greeting I then awkwardly told her my order and was met with silence than my total, I payed for my food and left upon looking at my food I realized they served me chicken that had to be multiple hours old, now to elaborate on her blatant arrogance and racism, not only has this type of thing happened to me but another one of my white co workers and we have both seen her treat patrons that are African Americans with dignity and respect while we get nothing but a snarky attitude and ignorance, this young woman is not fit for the service industry and should be terminated from her position immediately. As for the other workers they have always been lovely to me and my heart goes out to them because dealing with her must be a living nightmare as her attitude is awful and she's glued to her phone. Hopefully Wendy's gets this and fixes this problem as I like their food and it's the closest fast...
