My boss brought me a burrito from here once before, however this was my first time here myself.I ordered two big breakfast burritos from here this morning, bacon. As she was making it, I thought I saw ham. So I asked her "is that ham? I ordered bacon." She said no this is ham. I apologized and said ok. She then goes over to the pan and pulls a few strips of bacon out and cuts it up and sprinkles it on top. I said cool! Maybe she thought there wasn't enough bacon in it and said thank you. Pay and leave. I get to work and it is clearly a HAM burrito. My body does not digest ham properly so I refuse to eat it. Ok whatever mistakes happen. I'm now clocked in at work and can not take it back. So I call and explain what JUST happened to the woman that puts me on hold. She asks me to hold and the phone hangs up. I call back, no answer. And again and again. I called several times and no one answered. I then call from my desk phone and what do you know the same woman answers. Now I'm pretty upset. I tell her who I am and that she just hung up on me. She puts me on hold again. FOR 5 MINUTES. Then gets pack on the phone and says she's busy had a line to the door and to call her later. And then hangs up in my face again.
I have already paid $15 for my food that I can't even eat. She needed to have the other people wait and at least acknowledge my issue. I don't have a problem with calling back later but the fact she acted like what I was saying pissed me all the way off! I'll never spend my money in this filthy low budget wanna be...
Read moreWhat happened to Sabor?!?! I used to love love love coming in, sitting down, enjoying the salsa bar and amazing food! This location is not anywhere near what it used to be. Are these locations owned by the same people or are they franchises now? While the food continues to be A-MAZING....gosh....so so so yummy and good! There is no salsa bar AND you have to pay for each little, very little, cup of salsa past 1 complimentary one. Which....makes no sense because at the location off Alameda you have unlimited salsa bar and yet this one...no salsa bar (which I could understand if it was a hygiene issue/concern)....but then having to pay for salsa on top of it is frustrating! One of the selling points at least to me with Sabor is the variety of salsa and how yummy each one is depending on what you ordered. Also, you do not get a small bag of tortilla chips with your meal anymore....at least at this location. Again, this is why I am wondering if these are franchises because this location is run so different than the one off of Alameda. I was so excited to be up in the area visiting and couldn't wait to get me some Sabor and this particular visit was disappointing when it came to the customer service (the woman at the register clearly did not want to be there) to the typical availability of condiments and chips. Will not be coming back to this location but will definitely go visit the one off of Alameda the next time I am up here...
Read moreOMG FINALLY A MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN ALL OF COLORADO THAT DOESN'T USE ITALIAN PREGO SAUCE ON THEIR ENCHILADAS!! THANK YOU!!!!
As mentioned above, I've gone to SO MANY "Mexican" restaurants but I've always been let down by them. At long last, I have found an actual, legit Mexican restaurant that does it RIGHT.
I'm from South Texas where Mexican food is king. Ever since I've moved up here, I've not found a place that comes anywhere near the quality of good Mexican food - until today. Thank you so much to the entire team at Sabor for reminding me what actual good Mexican food is like. It reminds me of home and I've missed it so much.
This restaurant is an oasis in the middle of a very VERY dry desert and I'm so glad I found it. Colorado is not known for it's food, but this place has earned a bookmark on my map and it will be the ONLY Mexican restaurant I recommend to any of my loved ones.
As a side note, they also serve breakfast! HUGE breakfast burritos!! Breakfast ends around 10:30am so be sure to get there on time. You'll be glad you did.
I ordered the chicken enchiladas dish and was shocked to find a restaurant that didn't use Prego Italian sauce in it. It was so good!!
To all the other "Mexican" restaurants out...
