NEED TO FIGURE OUT A NEW BUN FOR THE BRAT. COME ON… Here’s my honest take on Dog Haus in Centennial — and yes, I know it’s “just” a casual spot for dogs, brats, and breakfast-y mashups, but this place clearly puts craft and personality into everything coming out of the kitchen. I stopped in hungry and curious, and I left with a new favorite breakfast item and one small gripe that’s worth calling out for anyone who’s picky about buns.
First, the star: the Bronco Burrito. Absolutely fantastic. It’s the kind of breakfast burrito that actually earns the hype—well-balanced, hearty, and thoughtfully layered. The eggs were fluffy (not overcooked), the potatoes had that crisp outside/soft center situation, and the proteins were seasoned so they stood out without overpowering everything else. What I loved most was how it held together: no soggy wrap, no oil bomb. Every bite gave you something—salt, heat, a little creaminess, a little crunch—and it all wrapped up in a tortilla that didn’t crack or collapse. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Get it. I’d come back for the Bronco Burrito alone.
I also tried a bratwurst, because when you’re in a place that takes pride in its sausages, it feels wrong not to. The brat itself? Juicy, snappy casing, and seasoned just right. You can tell they care about sourcing and prep; it’s not the bland ballpark stuff. Toppings were generous and fresh, and you can customize to your heart’s content. Here’s where my only complaint comes in: the bun. Dog Haus is known for its signature rolls, and while I totally get the appeal for some folks, the bun on my brat didn’t land for me. It leaned too sweet for a savory, peppery brat, and it softened quickly—almost spongy—so halfway through, I was wishing for something sturdier and less sugary to let the brat really shine. If you love that sweet-leaning, pillowy roll, great; for me, it distracted from an otherwise excellent sausage.
Service was friendly and efficient without being rushed. The team knew the menu and had solid recommendations (which is how I ended up with the Bronco Burrito in the first place). The space was clean, plenty of seating, and the food came out hot with a nice pace—even during a bit of a lunch wave. I appreciate the little touches too: clear signage, easy ordering, and a sauce lineup that lets you tweak things exactly how you like them.
Price-wise, it’s fair for the quality. You’re getting better ingredients and better execution than a typical fast-casual hot dog spot, and the portion sizes back it up. Sides like tots or fries are a no-brainer add-on if you’re sharing, and they do them right—crisp, salted properly, and not weighed down with grease.
Overall, Dog Haus is absolutely worth a visit—especially for that Bronco Burrito, which I’d recommend to anyone who wants a legit, satisfying breakfast-lunch crossover. As for the brat, I’d order it again but ask if there’s a different bun option or go bunless and let the sausage and toppings lead. With a minor tweak on the bread, it would be excellent across the board.
Bottom line: creative menu, quality ingredients, friendly service, clean space, and a burrito I’ll be craving again. If you’re near Centennial and want something that feels familiar but tastes dialed-in, Dog Haus delivers. I’ll be back—Bronco Burrito first, brat with a bun...
Read moreThe only reason I even put two stars is because for one I’m too generous and for two I just felt like being nice and putting two stars, but do not eat here or work here. Many many many people in this world apply for multiple jobs at once and then they take the better offer, when my husband was originally going for this job, we were told that he would be putting in contact with a morning manager, so that he could work the morning shift, I came in the next day to talk to them about it, and they told me that they just moved everyone to the morning shift and so they were going to have my husband on the night shift, I said yes, just until we found something else, because that really doesn’t work for our schedules, and we then found a different opportunity that worked better, and so we let star or cricket whatever she wants to go by, girl, with very very short white hair, sometimes has a different colors. she never responded, she also refused to give her real name, so my husband didn’t even really know what to call her. She then proceeded to get mad when I came in as a customer and rolled her eyes at me, was talking to a coworker, and then, as soon as I walked in that coworker had also rolled her eyes at me . At this point, I was now and or am now a customer, so you’re telling me that this is how we treat our customers. I walked in, but the smile on my face said hi how are you was ignored, said, have a wonderful day got an eye roll, and a irritated smirk , first number one rule of customer service always treat the customer with respect and of course the customer is always right, but that does not apply here. I am getting really frustrated with the way the work industry is going these days, 90% of the time you can tell someone you took a different job opportunity. Will they be a little upset? Yes, will they take it out on the customer who is now a customer because they denied the job, not generally, but apparently if you work at this place they do. all I’m asking is for your employees to have a little bit more respect, this person was fired from a different store and lost their management job at that store, for being too rude, she now has the management job at this location, she is the night manager. I used to be friends with her, after this, I probably will not be friends with her anymore. I now understand why she was fired as a manager at the other location. Again, all I ask, is that you treat customers and even treat employees with respect. the way I was treated when I walked in, was not with respect, I am not a customer, and I was treated with ignorance,...
Read moreA double cheese burger, an aioli burger, and tater tots were just over $27. The guy behind the register was pretty disinterested and rude. Lastly, the burgers themselves, BASIC and NASTY! I'm a downright certified home cook, and I make my own burgers and brioche buns weekly. We just left the Broncos game and wanted to get something edible and quick to eat. This was not it.
Their burgers are pretty disgusting to me. They use HAWAIIAN BREAD ROLEs as the bun. Look, if I'm paying for a burger, I need a real BURGER BUN, thank you. HAWAIIAN BREAD ROLES a bun does not make, especially when the bread is so soft and wasn't toasted at all. Watching them make burgers on Hawaiian bread felt very amateurish. I mean, even In-and-Out, and Mickey D's will give you a real bun. So this felt super BASIC and kind of childish, not like a professional food joint. I couldn't get through my burger because the meat was overcooked, and it was drowning in a disgusting white sauce. I asked the guy at the register how the burgers are cooked, and he looked confused. LOL!
What a joke. I won't be going back there again. I'm just hoping I don't get food poisoning from those amateurs who can't cook a basic burger right. The way they kept the kitchen, which you can see from the register, (usually as a way to highlight a beautifully kept, clean, organized kitchen, LOL), made me regret even walking in there. The grill area looks unclean. The can tubs from which they're spooning chilly and everything else on your food look unclean and disgusting as well. Why did I not walk out as soon as I walked in? Well, I was with my fiance, and we wanted to give it a try. NEVER AGAIN.
Also, during dinner time, the place is absolutely dead. That should tell you a lot about what kind of quality food they serve...
