We recently dined at Shanghai Garden Peoria- and had a fantastic experience! The fried pork dumplings were crispy on the outside with a juicy, flavorful filling—absolutely delicious. The steamed chicken pot stickers were another highlight, perfectly tender with a savory burst of flavor in every bite. The sesame shrimp was a standout, coated in a rich, nutty sauce that paired beautifully with the plump, well-cooked shrimp. The shrimp lo mein was equally impressive, loaded with fresh shrimp and crisp vegetables in a light, flavorful sauce that brought everything together. The walnut shrimp was a pleasant surprise—crispy shrimp paired with candied walnuts in a creamy, slightly sweet sauce that was pure indulgence. The fried rice was a great side, packed with flavor and just the right amount of seasoning to complement the other dishes. The steamed rice was a great accompaniment, fluffy and perfectly cooked. Overall, the food was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, making for a memorable meal. We are already looking forward to our next visit to try more from the menu! Can’t wait for the full service bar! See you soon!

8/31/25- First off even though they look like they are closed on the outside with the remodeling going on, they are actually open. There was a smell of saw dust in the air which I like as a former tech kid, but I don't know how others will view the smell. Our server was nice. The problem was the food. I would say it was just average which would have gotten them 3 stars as an average score, but they lost the third star due to the price. Their lunch prices mostly ran $14-17, but in the Denver Metro area there is so much competition for Asian restaurants, and many that have much better food have lunch prices that run $9-12. So they are overpriced for mediocre food. The portions were also smaller then what other places give you for lower prices. Would I go back? Maybe in at least a year to see if they have improved the quality, size, and price of the food. But at present I can not recommend them.

Went to the new Shanghai Garden at Peoria. The restaurant certainly had a Panda scene, with pandas at the door, at the corner, right by the table and on the counter. The rickshaw from the Inchin days ha also been replaced by panda statutes. A wall in the dining area was also covered with bamboo forest wallpaper. Similar to the Shanghai Garden at Southglenn, the food here was authentically Chinese American, with most of the mainstays, such as Sesame, Orange, Kung Pao, Mongolian, General Tsao's, Mu Shu, etc. Most could be prepared with beef, pork, chicken, shrimp or vegetable. Ordered Mongolian beef, orange chicken, shrimp chow mien and combo mu shu. The food was flavorful and well prepared. The service was attentive and prompt. Overall an enjoyable dining experience.

Shanghai Gardens has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid, and walking through the doors still brings back so many memories. The food has always been incredible, but it’s more than just the dishes — it’s the feeling of comfort, family, and tradition that makes this place so special.

The shrimp fried rice is a must-have. In my opinion, it’s not just the best in the state, but quite possibly the best in the entire country. Every bite is flavorful, fresh, and cooked to perfection. My grandma used to say this was her absolute favorite place to eat, and every time I sit down here, I feel connected to her and to the times we shared around the table.

Now, seeing Shanghai Gardens grow into a second restaurant feels like a dream come true. This isn’t just about opening another location — it’s about sharing the same love, quality, and tradition with even more people. I really hope this new chapter takes off, because more folks deserve to experience what makes this place so unique.

If you’re looking for more than just a meal — if you want something that feels like home, made with care and heart — Shanghai Gardens will...

Friendly people who greeted me as soon as I walked in. There was a short wait while my togo order was completed and I was offered a beverage during the wait. Ordered lunch fried rice and it comes with a soup (egg drop is what I picked) and veggie spring roll. Veggie spring roll was kind of chunky with the veggies, I like mine a bit more minced. Rice was excellent - it was combo, and all ingredients tasted fresh. Kind of pricy for lunch - the specials were at $16 and while larger portions that is still pricy. Here's a tip. When you look for lunch specials look under each protein and not just in the highlighted lunch specials section. Thank you for bringing a decent Chinese restaurant to THIS part of Arapahoe/Peoria. I'd go back and order again as a special treat now and then. A solid 4 but they just opened and were in pre grand opening so I'm sure things will only improve. PS - I know it is the lazy tax but 3.50 for a canned soda is a bit much. Learned my lesson and I will get beverages from the gas station across the road where a large fountain is $2. Can't answer the table wait time question as I ordered mine TO GO...
