Haney's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Center Line

Had breakfast with my friend at Haney's this morning and it was a wonderful way to start the day! Our server was Claudia and she was fantastic! Claudia greeted us with a warm friendly smile and we NEVER had to look around to find her nor did we have to ask for anything because she and the staff at Haney's were attentive and friendly. Absolutely excellent service!!

Claudia was so helpful with making recommendations & modifications for my specific dietary needs. I ordered Sweet Potato Fries as a starter & the Greek Skillet Hash w/Turkey Sausage as a sub for the bacon. My friend ordered the Supreme Omelette and an order of Onion Rings. The Sweet Potato Fries were waffle style and were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.💞 The Onion Rings my friend ordered were also beautifully crispy & both orders were generously portioned as well!

My Greek Skillet Hash was scrumptious w/seasoned potatoes, diced turkey sausage, spinach, grilled onions & green pepper topped with feta cheese, hollandaise sauce and choice of 2 eggs. I chose lightly scrambled and the eggs were cooked to PERFECTION! The highlight of the dish was that Hollandaise sauce tho. Lawd...the most perfectly seasoned, creamiest Hollandaise sauce I have ever had & I have had my fair share. I will definitely order this dish again! My friend was so busy smashing the Onion Rings, Seasoned Potatoes, Sourdough Breakfast Bread & the side of veggies that they only had a bite or two of the Supreme Omelette because they were full. I knew everything was tasty because not a word was uttered from them while gobbling up their meal. LOL. Some of the onion rings and the rest of the omelette were packed to-go. We both had ice water, however I ordered decaf coffee and Claudia & staff made sure to keep the ice water topped off and the coffee mug filled with hot freshly brewed coffee. She even packed me a coffee to go.

My experience at Haney's Family Restaurant was excellent and I will definitely return again! Hollandaise Sauce,...

First of all, it's a shame that Haney's no longer serves dinner. The fact that it closes at 2 pm in the afternoon cost them a star in my review. Haney's is located in an old Howard Johnson's building. Thd good news is that it seems to have kept it fantastic clam strip recipe. The clams are the star here. They are the best clams this sude of the east coast shore. They are big and tender and lightly coated and best of all, not overcooked into the rubberband stage. It's a shame that you can only get them at lunch though. Haney's also has terrific breakfast dishes. A wide range of omelets and egg bowls. There are choices of excellent waffles and french toadt as well. One highlight to mention is their homemade strawberry marmalade that accompanies most toast orders. The marmalade is not overly sweet as you can tell it is made fresh. Again, I cannot stress how much I wish that Haney's would go back to serving dinner. Aside from the clams, they used to have outstanding fish and chips and many delicious entrees, like chicken croquettes. If you have a chance to try them for breakfast or lunch, do so! You will not be disappointed. Not only is the food terrific, but everytime I have bern there, the service is great. The servers are friendly, knowledgeable and are very accommodating at whatever you need or like. Perfect example: when I order the clam strips and the server asks if I want tartar sauce or cocktail sauce, and I say both, I get a generous portion of both sauces which taste in house made and not pre-bottled. Give Haney's a try and while you are there, do as I do everytime, tell them they need to reopen for dinner...

Usually Traci Grubbs or the big girl who played softball at Warren High School have waited on me for 35 years.

Came in today with my handicapped sister

Neither of my favorite servers were working

Talked with my softball buddy

She only works Fridays and Traci has had her hours cut.

Times change

I realize that.

The food-- mozzarella sticks, clams and shrimp was very good.

My server was in a hurry or just plain rude.

Service was ROBOTIC AND UNCARING.

I gave her a healthy tip in spite of her disposition.

Not sure this place will survive because of subpar attitude and service

Very sorry about this austere server.

A grade of C- for my visit to the under new management Haney's Unfriendly Restaurant.

All the previous reviews were before the change of ownership.

Most recent reviews were 3 months and 5 months ago. Again before many of the older servers were either fired or cut back in hours.

This isn't anything like Vern Haneys or Haney's Family Restaurant.

Food is overpriced and my server today was poor.
