Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Center Township

VISITED ON 03/08/25 AROUND THE 3:00PM HOUR. I HAD A PRETTY DECENT EXPERIENCE HERE TODAY. THE PLACE WAS CLEAN. THE FOOD WAS ON POINT. TRIED THE HONEY CHICKEN LITTLE SWEET BUT HAD A NICE SPICY KICK TO THE MEAT. THE SERVER WAS ACCOMMODATING - THANK YOU- BUT THE CASHIER SEEMED NERVOUS AND SCARED TOO DEATH. HERE IS THE THING REAL TALK WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE LATIN FLAVOR VIBE THAT WAS A STAPLE WITH THE CHIPOTLE BRAND?? AGAIN SOMETHING AND SOMEHOW THIS BRAND CALLED CHIPOTLE WENT SOUTH LIKE REALLY “THE SOUTH” AND NEVER CAME BACK. THERE LIES THE PROBLEM WHEN I USED TO GO TO THE LOCATION IN CHICAGO YEARS AGO. THE AIR WAS FILLED WITH THE MUSIC THE CUSTOMS THE BEERS OF I THINK IT WAS CUBA 🇨🇺 HELLO. EVERYONE THAT WENT TO CHIPOTLE BACK THEN ESPECIALLY TO THOSE LOCATIONS DOWNTOWN ( STAYED PACKED) CHICAGO WERE GETTING BURRITOS, TACOS NOT THE DAMN BOWEL SAY WHAT??! THIS BRAND HAS TAKEN A WEIRD KINDA HIT OVER THE YEARS. IT HAS VEERED OFF INTO AMERICANA LAND AND WHY??! WHY HAVE U DONE THIS CUT THE CRAP?? THE BRAND GAVE U A LATIN VIBE SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM OTHER FAST FOOD PLACES SELLING PRETTY MUCH ALMOST THE SAME THING. SO AGAIN THIS BRAND IS PROBABLY ARE TAKING NEGATIVE SHOTS. THE REASONS BEING THE ORIGINAL VISIONS AND GOALS SET FORTH BY THE OWNERS SOLD THE HECK OUT. SAID WHAT THE HECK LETS JUST CONFORM BE LIKE THE RESTS AND WHO CARES NOT GOOD! I USED TO LOVE COMING HERE BACK IN 2008/2012 THE VIBE WAS NICE, RELAXING, COOL SERENITY WITH THE SOUNDS OF LATIN AMERICAN MUSIC PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND. MAN I MISSED THOSE DAYS WHEN THE BRAND HAD ITS OWN IDENTITY SET THEMSELVES APART FROM OTHER FAST FOOD PLACES. THEY USED TO HAVE A “HAPPY HOUR” IN THEIR LOCATIONS MAN I MISSED...

I have been going here on my lunch breaks and to get food for my family for at least a year and a half.

For many months now their portion control has been unacceptable for such a large food chain and completely unacceptable especially regarding the burritos. And just around 4 months ago, most of the staff changed and their attitudes have been mostly apathetic and pretty self serving. I've gotten the eye roll when they had no napkins on the floor and I waited and asked if there might be some available for me and my family. The first time I decided to bring up the size and portion of my son's and my burrito compared to my wife's bowl, I was told that's how they've always been prepared, and told me how "most customers purchase 2 each for themselves".. I'm not confrontational, and by their attitude I probably would have made some sort of scene if I questioned her answer and asked about the prices vs proportion of each...

After the last handful of times of ordering here over about a month's time frame, every burrito me, my coworkers or family purchased, no matter the amount of ingredients requested were never much bigger than your average soda pop can, but somehow most of our burrito bowls contained upwards of 4 times the amount of ingredients(though still inconsistent...

Worker was very tushy on the order and the whole station was super messy. Food looked old and they already had there chairs up at 10:20pm when they don’t close till 11. I was super hungry so I was like whatever even tho it looked messy it was going into my bowl bc I like the things but if I didn’t that would be disgusting each tub like corn had sour cream in it the gauc had cheese and other stuff in it and was brown. The hot honey chicken was not made right what so ever had so much spice on it that made it taste bad nasty. Had a couple bites and then asked for a refund and why was like why. And I told her it looked nasty not fresh and the chicken didn’t taste good and she was like okay well do you want me to remake it like no it’s taste nasty and you have all the same dirty stuff out. With food fixed with everything. Then she was like okay well what do you want I was likyour receipt like what if I threw it away also you can’t go in your system and look it up.
