Real nice vibe, real good music if you're into classic rock, first time here and ordered the triple decker corned beef which is actually a reuben. My favorite sandwich so I always order it when I try a new place. I didn't want a burger, which is mostly what the menu is made up of, but it's a pub so that's to be expected. Our waitress was super nice and she said the corned beef was out of this world so I was super excited to get that sandwich. Our order was placed and 5 to 10 minutes later I was told they were out of corned beef and that somebody at the bar got the last one. Needless to say, I was completely disappointed. Once you have a taste for a reuben, it's hard to order something else but I was starving so just got the basic burger and put some toppings on it. I like a medium burger, this one came well done but for some odd reason the juice on the bun was bloody. Very confusing and of course I did not eat the bun. I tried the house made fries and they were okay, definitely overcooked and had that overcooked taste to them so that was disappointing as well. My friend enjoyed the prime rib sandwich, although he did not rave about it. The entire time we were eating our meal I was watching the bar and absolutely nobody at the bar was served any food. There's really no need to lie to your customers and say the last one was ordered by somebody else, just say you're out of it. And the kitchen, when they do run out of something, should tell the wait staff immediately so they do not recommend items that they cannot serve.
This is definitely a place to hang with friends, have a drink and enjoy the music, but don't go for the food. Not sure we will be back to this joint, but if we do go, hopefully we will be able to try the reuben. Until then, the reuben I had for $6 at the little dive joint in Kansas City still holds the number one spot on my list for the best reuben ever (trust me when I say I've had tons of reubens so know what I'm talking...
Read moreI read the Google reviews before going and it seemed like an unusually smoker friendly, nice place, so I went to check it out. As per a fakebook poll, they decided to no longer allow smoking, without advertising the changes, so I was made to stand out in the rain to have a cigarette. Thanks three as for not making that smoker's booth BEFORE you changed your policy to appease the (m)asses. Smoking in restaurants has always been a common factor in public establishments until the successful information programming of the media in the 90's. They charged $14 for a small shaved "prime rib" sandwich. The meat didn't even taste like prime rib. I hate Arby's, but it would have been a better sandwich. The waitress was very attentive to seek if I needed anything, until after I paid the bill. I wanted to stick around for a drink after my meal, so I went outside to smoke a cigarette in the rain...Thanks again, as. When I returned from smoking, I found my table swept and cleaned. They were not busy, so I sat down waiting for the once attentive waitress to take my order. Apparently a 30% tip was not enough to generate any interest in serving a customer after a meal was paid for. She caught eye contact with me three times and turned away, never even asking if I wanted a drink. The atmosphere was obviously synthetically manufactured just like that "prime rib" meatlike sandwich. If I was walking with rocks n my shoes along a desert road, thirsty and hungry, I would possibly be tempted to stop in, but it would take some serious incentives to get me to ever step foot in that...
Read moreSo I used to love this place. It was like my favorite hole in the wall nobody knew about place. But the last few times I’ve been there and I’ve ordered food it hasn’t come out for at least an hour to two hours if not more. This last time I went there I got there at 5 PM on Wednesday and order food and drinks and literally everyone in the bar got served food before I got my food. To the point where it was time for me to pick up my kids at 7:30 And I still have not been yet served my food at 7:00. I don’t know what’s happened to this place but the food I had to take home with me obviously was not as good as the food that you eat at the place. And it was my anniversary with my loved one and it was ruined. We chose to go there because that’s where we first met. That was our first date. The bartender was excellent he’s a master. But why isn’t it that my food didn’t get to me until 710 when I had to rush home and go pick up my children...
