Update The district manager called me and we had a great conversation. I used to work in food service so we could talk the language. He promised changes and really wants to be part of the community. He didnāt offer nor would I have taken any free food, but Iāll go back and see if a few weeks improves the experience. Iāll change the review if it does change. WISH ME LUCK!!! *.
Iām hesitated, leaving this review for quite some time, because Iām a huge fan of Waffle House. However, Iāve been at this location in Centerton, Arkansas several times and Iām finding that the last several visits have been consistently poor. The food is always good, but the restaurant is messy. Todayās visit was a Monday morning at 10 AM, and there were five people behind the counter and four customers when I walked in. I was customer number five. There were dirty tables, multiple tables, and the counters only had two clean spaces left which is where I sat. The menus were used as placemats so they were all sticky and dirty. They had not been wiped off. The seats all had crumbs in them that needed to be wiped off. Thereās no way this all happened this morning, and I suspect theyāve been there for a while. Behind the counter floors were quite messy as was the rest of the restaurant, but there was finally one guy who was sweeping to clean up the floors. But he only swept behind the counter. One of the servers was trying to be humorous, but annoyed a family that came in by, refusing to put down their food until every person answered āwhoās hungry?ā Which annoyed the mother and father a great deal. They talked about it when the server walked away. The servers were all very loud and bantering, which normally is not a problem, but they were complaining about the type of chocolate milk that was delivered, the payroll work that had to be done in the back room, work hours and things that I felt were entirely inappropriate for the customers to hear. One young lady kept singing a phrase of a song over and over again, at the top of her lungs, but never started nor finished the line and it was a bit grating. Saddest part about this is that this is typical behavior and restaurant cleanliness, even on the weekends when they are packed. Last time I came was a Saturday and I talked to the manager and she apologized and said she was working with staff. I normally donāt leave bad reviews, but until they clean up their act and improve their service, Iāll continue to eat at the Waffle House in Bentonville. Itās a much better, cleaner location, with friendly staff. I eat at Waffle House 3 or more times a month. Be better,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsed to absolutely love this location, weāve been coming here consistently for 2 years. Tonight, 11/08/2024 at approximately 8:30 pm we came in for dinner. We sat downā the table was sticky. Not a super big deal, it happens. I asked to have it wiped and the waitress promptly wiped it down. Ordered drinks, no real issue. I did have to walk her through a hot water order though. We ordered our food and waited. First the waffle cameā a small tablespoon of chocolate chips in the center. Not ideal but she seemed rushed for no reason in a mostly empty restaurant. Next came my boyfriendās All-Star special. He ordered his eggs sunny side up and they came out over medium. I politely asked the waitress if we could have them redone since they were made incorrectly, she apologized and said absolutely and went to take them back. She asked the cook to remake them and he immediately got loud and defensive saying āthey are sunny side up.ā And she persisted and asked him to remake them but then he just continued to loudly give attitude over the eggs. Honestly, we did not appreciate that and that was what ultimately had us walk out. We have NEVER walked out before. The waitress was polite and not the problem, just a little flustered that we were leaving. We werenāt mad at her, rather her very rude and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst off, Waffle House hashbrowns are AMAZING! They are the only reason I go in there. Now, that being said, I would give 5 stars but our waitress this evening could care less about the restaurant, her job, or even the customers. She was rude and seemed to be bothered by having to do ANYTHING. She took our order and seemed nice at first but when she brought the ticket she threw it at the table and walked away. My wife noticed that the total was wrong and when she pointed it out the waitress tried to talk over her and proceeded to rip the ticket and menu out of her hand. My wife asked her hername and without even looking at us she walked away and said "It's Mallory and your meal is free". We desired to pay for our meal but by the time we stood up she was already seated at a table on the far side of the restaurant. It's sad to think she was the face for this wonderful store tonight. The last time my wife and I went here there were two gentleman running the place and they did such a great job not only with their service but also with their all around happiness to be there and talk to us that we tipped each of them $10. We love to tip the staff as my wife has been in the restaurant business for 15+ years and we understand that restaurant workers are often...
