I bought a Stihl string trimmer here about two months ago. The trimmer was started and tested by an employee who did not have the proper Stihl certifications and the manager here allowed that to happen. Foolishly, when I attempted to use the unit for the fist time, it was very quickly evident that the carburetor wasn't tuned correctly. I brought this trimmer back to the Pea Ridge location to be repaired only to be told that the Stihl tech did not have the proper tool to adjust the carburetor. He said he would order the tool and it would be in within a week. I agreed to leave the trimmer with the store. Now, eight weeks later, my trimmer is still being "repaired". Not only was I sold a trimmer that was knowingly not properly assembled, the repair department doesn't have the tools/staff required to fix anything you buy here. If you're coming here for Stihl equipment, don't bother, find literally anywhere else.
UPDATE: I received a phone call from the Pea Ridge store on 7/31 saying my trimmer was fixed and ready to be picked up when I could make it by, approximately four days after posting this review. I went the same day, around 3:30 PM, to pick up my trimmer. No one was at the Stihl counter, so I asked the cashier to see if someone was around to help. She said she would call the tech to meet me at the counter. After 15 minutes of waiting, an employee (who I will later find out is the store manager) asked if I needed help. The manager and another employee went to retrieve my trimer, and the manager did stop to chat and ask if there was anything they could do to make things right. She also explained that the reason it took so long to fix was because the part required never arrived, and when it did finally arrive, it just "fell through the cracks".
I took the trimmer home, and to no one's surprise, I still had to adjust the idle screw to get the trimmer to run correctly. Stihl dealers are pretty ubiquitous in NWA. Go find one that cares about you and support a small business instead...
Read moreI'm genuinely impressed every time I visit this Ace Hardware. The staff here are incredibly helpful and actually seem to enjoy what they do. They don't just point you toward an aisle - they'll walk with you, ask questions about your project, and make sure you're getting exactly what you need.
What really stands out is how well-staffed this place is compared to other hardware stores in NWA. I've never had to wander around searching for help like I do at the big box stores. There's always someone available, and they're knowledgeable too.
I was pleasantly surprised to find their prices are really competitive with Lowe's and Home Depot. You get that personalized service without paying a premium for it.
For my money, the combination of great customer service, good selection, and fair prices makes this my go-to hardware store...
Read moreI was bitten by a Vendors dog in their Centerton AR store today. They weren't going to address it so I filed a police report & made a Facebook post to ensure they did. Their manager made a bogus review on our business page so here I am sharing the truth to theirs! I used to like the place but come on! Your Vendors dog bites the customer & the dog goes not the customer... Then your folks retaliate defamation? Updated 7/15/25 I bought a Beware of Dog sign at your store a year prior trying to be a responsible pet owner. Be proactive, One should be displayed at your location to warn future customers! At least while your location allows potentially dangerous pets by Vendors & Customers alike. One day, a kid will get attacked! No business should survive that knowing what...
