Holly J's Grill — Restaurant in Central City

We arrived a party of four around 5::45pm on a Saturday evening. There wasn’t much business happening when we arrived, or during our entire stay. Our waitress was courteous a took our drink & salad orders not long after we were seated. The atmosphere was good only a couple other tables occupied with restaurant guests on its lower level. The room was very chilly and uncomfortable. We asked our server if she can turn up the heat. It might have gotten a little better. Our server took our orders my wife decided on the Joe’s Triple Cheeseburger and fries, I ordered the 2” Glazed Pork Chop Dinner with Mac & Cheese. My brother in law had the 12oz Ribeye prepared medium with a baked potato. Finally my dear sister who has the Alpha Gal Syndrome a terrible eating allergy caused from tick bites. Which requires her not to have any beef or pork in her diet. Therefore she has to have all her meals prepared separately with no contamination by any beef, pork protein, or by products it’s a real hassle, but extremely necessary. Well she ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. The waitress was very accommodating to her, and made sure the chefs were aware of her situation. It’s apparently a very common problem with many customers they have seen in Muhlenberg County. Our meals arrived hot and very delicious looking to eat. Our dinners was delivered in a well timely manner in about 30 minutes of wait time. The Glaze Pork Chop dinner was delicious it was prepared quite good. It had a rich tangy sweet glaze, and very tender to eat. It might could have been grilled a while longer. It was a little more pink inside than required for pork. My side the Mac & Cheese was pretty good and tasty. The 12oz Ribeye Steak dinner was just like he wanted it. He had a nice baked potato as well. My wife’s Joe’s Triple Cheeseburger was big and delicious she said. We had to cut it into quarters so she could eat it. Now my sister’s order came out wrong. They gave her the Grilled Chicken Wrap instead of the Buffalo Chicken Wrap she had requested. They brought her some buffalo sauce to try and accommodate, but she was sadly disappointed in her sandwich and meal overall. The waitress was good, but the food and manager were awful. Went tonight, which is a Friday and karaoke night and we expected it to be busy. Got there around 7:00 and around 9:00 asked our waitress to check on our food. We had been patient and not complained, but 2 hours was getting a bit long. She said it would be out soon. About 15 minutes passed and she brought our food out and it was all cold. One person ordered a 12 oz steak and it may have been about 4 oz and cold. Not even room temperature. Another ordered a sandwich that had probably been sitting for an hour. I ordered a Mac and cheese dinner that was cold as well. Asked to speak to the manager and they said well it just came out, it shouldn’t be cold. We told her that she could eat it and see as we were not going to eat it. Of course she didn’t, said she would discount it. Only took $1 off the price. Also messed up the order on the ticket. We all ordered separate tickets. I was charged for nachos that I didn’t get, another was charged for tots they didn’t get, and a third person was charged for wings they didn’t order. Awful service and food was terrible. Ended up paying over $30 for a meal that I didn’t eat or order. shouldn’t have paid it, but was tired of waiting and was ready to leave. It also took another 20 minutes to get our tickets so we could leave. Management is awful, kitchen is awful. Not to mention, the kid that did bring our food to us was obviously high as he almost fell while being out the plates. Also, brought orders to our table that wasn’t ours. Had to tell him we didn’t order that, and he eventually found the right table. Spent almost 3 hours from start to finish and laid over $30 for one person and ended up going to McDonald’s to finally get something to eat. Awful place, do...

SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE this is the 3rd time going here thought we would try it again the greeter at the door was very kind and sweet but the 2 waitresses upstairs was the rudest people I have ever met never smiled one time.. got our drinks 35 mins after being there we already knew what we wanted to order so we did when she came with drinks we waited 1.5 for our food was there so long we went out to smoke still no food no refill when she came to bring my husbands refill she slammed the cup down on the table I just about snapped at that point food finally came she basically threw them on the table just to get rid of them fries was soggy and cold husbands burger wasn't dressed correctly. I had ordered a side of fried shrimp she brought me 5 of the tiniest salad shrimp I had ever seen they tried to fry them which made them even smaller then wanted to charge me 6.79 for that I absolutely refused to touch them and pay for that. I can just imagine how the shrimp po boy looks like. Will never get our family's business again. I know they are a new business and all but it was the same situation all 3 times.
