Ma's Restaurant — Restaurant in Central Point

NEVER EAT HERE!!! It is the most nasty, disgusting kitchen I have ever seen. I used to eat there all the time, then I ended up getting a job there. It was so terrible I was only there for three hours and I only stayed that long because I wanted to see what other horribly disgusting things I would see while I was there. None of the two cooks handling food wash their hands or used gloves, the chicken you all love and adore sat out in totes which were on the ground for hours, the floor was so sticky it bothered me to even walk back there, they smoke cigarettes and ash in your meals that you pay good money for,the reason why you can't smell the stench of the cigarrete is because they have a fan vent thing that sucks up the heat from the grill that everything is fried on. I watched one of the cooks peel an onion drop it in the trash and she still took it out of the trash and cut it up for someone to eat. It looked like no one has cleaned back there in atleast months if not years, the towels we clean the tables that you sit at aren't even sanitized, how people stand to work in that emviroment I don't know, I have tried to make a food report through Oregon food health but they never return my messages so I figured lets blast this place because I sure as hell never want someone I know eating at this...

They use to have one of the best deals for dinner at 8.95 with a generous portion of everything but recently went up in price to almost $10.00 for a dinner and packaging the dinner in a divided container instead of the traditional individual containers. The price went up and quantity went down. Recent waitress made me wait 45 minutes and when I ask what happened to my order she ask what order? She had given my order to someone else. Talking with several others in the restaurant the same thing had happened. Although I have been told she is no longer with them this left a bad taste in my mouth. The one review which speaks of the smell is quite right. It is an old building and has a old smell to it.

The food overall is decent. I haven't found one Chinese restaurant in the valley that has 5 Star chinese food. I won't rate it bad for food, but service and the cleanliness of the restaurant get a 1 star. I gave it a three as it has decent food although they are giving you less for more...

I haven't been to Ma's in several years because the quality of the food had really gone downhill. Today, we were in town near noon and decided to give them another chance. We were quickly met by the waitress in entering the restaurant and seated. Our order was taken when we were ready. The soup was brought right away, and it was hot and flavorful. I ordered chicken chop suey with Mar Far Chicken, and it was hot, and it too was excellent. My wife had shrimp, and I forgot, but she ate it all, which she never does. She said it was that good. The waitress was friendly and was quick to respond to our requests. The atmosphere was lacking and date and has not been updated in years. I was disappointed that my wife and I were the only diners in the restaurant, but several folks came in to pick up...
