Happy Teriyaki 12 — Restaurant in Centralia

So excited that there was a Happy Teriyaki in Centralia/Chehalis until I tried it. The place was deserted and usually I like places empty & quite but at this location it was for all the wrong reasons. The food is no good. I ordered the same Chicken Teriyaki with stir fried vegetables and steamed rice that I always order from the Tumwater and Lacey locations and to my dismay it was terrible!

I didn't even finish it, it was something I'd feed to a dog. The chicken was dried out and parts or it were crunchy, the vegetables where dry, and the oh so delicious teriyaki sauce in the green bottle was disgusting. Their green tea tasted like hot polluted water, and they charge $1 for refills on soda - it's not 1990 anymore!

$16 for a disappointing meal. Don't waste your time or your money because it was awful. Don't let the name fool you, they are nothing like the ones in...

I'm definitely dating myself, but I found Happy Teriyaki in Lakewood, in 1989. Yes, I've been ordering and enjoying the combination beef/chicken with steamed veggies rice for 35 years. Today was my first less than favorable experience. The food has always been consistently excellent, but after tax, I paid $20 and received the smallest portions that I have seen to date. I did, by chance, speak to the delightful and very friendly owner about my observations. It seems that current economic conditions that are effecting everyone these days, has finally forced them to both increase the prices and exercise some shrinkflation... all of the portions are now measured perfectly at 4 Oz each. dont waste time or money with this place,had ordered yaki soba noodles and teriyaki and beef combo off the lunch special smh took only one bite of yaki soba and spit it out noodles were soggy and pretty much melted in my mouth rice was'nt even good either(who messes up on rice!?)my wifes chicken katsu was CRAPP too smh was jus gonna leave the food there and walk out but then i thought nahh the neighborhood doggs gotta eat smh at least they thought it was good...very disapointed if you want sum good eats shoot to gigi's teriyaki joint in centralia across from taco bell you wont be...
