Lewis County is struggling in the ice cream department, so I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately, my hopes were not realized. Portion sizes for one scoop signature sundaes was just under $5. We tried each of the them and with a group of 7 the price of roughly $55 seemed fair. That said, the ordering process was odd- we ordered with one person and slowly but surely a different person made our sundaes. In the midst of this the couple that ordered before us sat down waiting for theirs (also signature sundaes) and we accidentally grabbed a couple of theirs not knowing they were waiting. Point being, when there are a lot of people- having orders taken at a register, a different person scooping and a third assembling is a mess.
As far as the ice cream.... it's fine. Nothing special. I certainly wouldn't pay the $10 they are asking for a prefilled pint of ice cream. I'm fresh to Washington and only visited the previous ice cream place a time or two, but this is nothing compared to that and unfortunately I think big chain ice cream shops have more flavorful and enjoyable ice cream and ambiance. I'm a massive s'mores fan but the s'mores sundae has just one odd strip of marshmallow crème (toasted so that's a plus) but not really s'moresy. In general- it's all kinda meh. The cast iron brookie was loaded with goodies, a brownie and lots of cookie dough, but still- nothing special.
I'm sad because I wanted to love this place, but even the decor was boring and a massive let down. Also, I didn't see any of the nonsense people complained about in other reviews about flies- have they never been on a picnic? Who cares... There was ample outdoor seating despite a couple pesky wasps and both indoors and outdoors felt and looked clean.
Overall: I'd be back because options are limited in Lewis County, but not because it's anywhere in my top picks of ice cream shops. Pricing and portion size is fair, at least for signature sundaes. Pictured are examples of the size of single scoop...
Read moreI'm so glad that there's finally a hard serve ice cream place that is actually good here in Centralia! This was my second time visiting and here are the pros and cons in my opinion: Pros: • Along with the normal chocolate, vanilla, etc., they also have flavors inspired by their signature coffee drinks which taste amazing! • Their coffee drinks are also available here. • They have both indoor and outdoor seating (with shade), and have plenty of parking. • Amazing customer service! 👏👏👏 • Only about $3 - $9 per person, not bad!
Cons: • While there are free samples, I do wish that they had flights. It would be nice to try them all as half scoops or something. • It can get loud in there at times, but that is to be expected with coffee shops. Also the menus can be hard to read.
This place just opened and I can't wait to see how it does. I do hope that this place can stay here in Centralia, it's a great place! I hope that everyone finds this place as...
Read moreThis place was awesome, I am from out of town and wanted my very specific Domino shot 12 oz heavy whip and honey iced americano. I called their number, and the worker was polite and answered all my questions over the phone. When we showed up there were cute clothes and hats for sale, they had gluten-free protein peanut butter chocolate chip balls for sale (which tasted really good and no sugar) two very polite workers. They didn't seem rude or give me dirty looks when telling them my very specific 12oz 2 shot white coffee 2 shot regular coffee double heavy whip and real honey iced americano. It tasted amazing, no burnt or bitter flavors. She was very calm, didn't seem rushed, and was personable. We didn't get any ice cream but an entire family was getting fun ice cream in front of us having a good time. All in all 5...
