Tried to come to this store multiple times…. This place is not always open when they say they are. Today we got there at opening time stated on the door and the store was still closed so we went back to our car discussing wether we wanted to wait… this being the third time we have attempted to shop here considering it’s the closest aquarium store to our home. ….we saw someone pull up to the store as we were about to leave so we decided wait. We didn’t have a bunch of places to be. We watched this person walk their dog… and after seeing all the dog signs on the door I had a feeling this was the store employee or owner so we were excited we’d finally get to see the place, I’ve been looking for some big wood pieces for my turtle tank and had just finished cycling another aquarium in my home for the last month and had held out to buy fish here and support local. After a few moments of the person walking in the store we noticed the front door sign was flipped to open… knowing that was our cue to head inside. As soon as we entered two dogs ran towards us barking, and I could see someone kneeling behind a shelf. I said “hello” to be polite assuming I’d browse as they opened the store and was greeted back with “Give me a minute and a rude hand gesture”
Honestly after the previous experiences trying to come here and then that rude greeting we just walked out… why turn your store sign to open if you’re gonna be rude? This was Petco treatment for a specialty store and it’s not our first impression
As a fish store frequent flyer I’d save your time and shop online or travel… Oly pets has a decent selection, Midway Fish and pet has an enormous selection although the store kinda smells… and the fish section at Sierra fish and pets in Renton has a super...
Read moreI have ADHD and dyslexia. I got my first freshwater planted fish tank about a month ago. Tried to read and watch everything I could on "how to" I thought I did everything right. About 3 days ago I seen ick on a couple of my fish so I read and watched more stuff and did everything I thought I was supposed to. It started getting worse. 2 of my corys started flowing upside down on the top of my tank. I went to all my local pet shops and no one knew more then me.Then I remembered Jamie existed! The kids and I drove 35 min to the shop. We ran in for help and boy oh boy did I get some! Jamie explained EVERYTHING to me in absolutely full detail and while Jamie and I was running around getting the stuff I needed the really nice man working there played with my kids and showed them around the shop. We went home did everything Jamie said. It's not even 24 hours later and my Corydoras are swimming around on the bottom eating! It was the most amazing experience I have ever had at any shop! Thank you guys so much! I will only go...
Read moreI walked into Aquarium Pro today having very low expectations, as I’ve visited AND worked at many local pet stores who just can’t seem to do the “fish thing” right. I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the high level of husbandry, the beautiful aquarium set ups, AND the extremely fair prices. Petco prices in a local shop?? That is unheard of. Jamie is a very knowledgeable and friendly owner, I immediately got the impression that they knew their stuff. I will be going back frequently to support this new business and I truly believe others should too. I love the “no waste” business model as well. You can bring your own Food containers in and purchase by the ounce! No more ugly plastic waste! Everything about this place impressed me, it will impress you too no doubt....
