This place is AMAZING! And the name couldn't be more appropriate, my husband (I'm writing this review on my husband's account)and I had been working all day and were craving Fish & Chips w/ Coleslaw, and OMG; this was the BEST fried & battered fish we have EVER had from ANY restaurant, and the coleslaw was was AMAZING too! They close at 9 pm and were awesome enough to take our call in/take out order at 9:32 pm on a Sunday night, the staff was so freaking nice and hospitable as well. And also, as we were paying for our meal we snagged a piece of Irish Apple Cake on the way out and again, the BEST dessert that I have EVER had in my life! Ever since the pandemic going out to restaurants has been pretty unpleasant (anywhere we have gone), staff is usually rude and dismissive, the food is over-priced and quality is always disappointing. . . But NOT here! If you want a REALLY good tasting, home cooked meal, this is the place I would recommend for you 100%; everything tastes like it came it came out of your grandmother's kitchen! We will DEFINITELY be going back, and hopefully be there in time to sit down for a meal, I cannot wait until the next meal I get to enjoy at this AMAZING Hometown Restaurant 😁 Thank you again to all the waitresses and the cook(s), y'all are TRULY appreciated Bridget was our counter person and she was just so sweet and bubbly. A true breath of fresh air, please keep doing what y'all do best, thanks...

Used to be great, but service has gone downhill for the previous 2 times i’ve dined. Last time the girl had to be reminded of everything. Today the staff was standing in a circle talking and my friend and I had not even been given menus. I was asked 4 times if i was ABSOLUTELY SURE I wanted the Caesar salad. I’m an adult. Ordering a Caesar salad is not a life changing decision, but I was asked 4 times and the waitress pointed at the menu and went “THAT Caesar salad??” Yes. What a huge life changing decision.

update: Just ordered again over the phone and had the same exact salad issue. You have to be EXTREMELY CLEAR with saying that you want salad and what kind. I talked to 2 ladies and the second one was much more willing to let me order salad then the first

edit 2: Never going here again after I got pasta to go, went to my car and discovered most of it was INSIDE THE PLASTIC BAG and melting it. I went back in and asked for it to be transferred to a new container. Used the restroom while this was supposedly being done, only to come out of the restroom and be handed the same bag, no change made. I sent in my friend waiting in the car and the staff was extremely rude to him. we ended up just throwing the entire thing away as we literally couldn’t transport it without it getting all over us/the car and going to McDonald’s down the street. The food is delicious here, but I am done dealing with the staff...

The service was decent but I cannot say the same for the food.

Both of my daughters got pancakes which they did not complain and gobbled it up. My ex started with the corn chowder that she really enjoyed and would be the only thing she went back for. The rest of her meal was a bland top sirloin covered with some sautéed peppers, onions and shrooms served with a mashed potato she said tasted and felt funny. When I took a scoop to taste and inspect it was mashed potatoes that was saved from a prior day and heated up poorly. It had that thick clumpy glossy look that most leftover potatoes get, I worked in enough restaurants and saved enough potatoes during my time to know how it looks and the consistency.

I decided to order the chicken fried steak, normally I can never go wrong with chicken fried steak at a diner. It was ok but you can clearly tell it was a frozen item reheated. It had that perfect rectangular shape to it that would be found mass produced. It tasted fine, just not that home style quality. It was served with some hashbrowns which were fine, those I wasn't 100% certain if fresh or not but they didn't strike me as a fresh texture. Then of course I got some sourdough toast and a couple eggs. Only the eggs I found to be fresh in the entire meal.

It was not worth the $70 to feed the 4 of us, I expected much better...

Came to visit because of so many good reviews. Interesting interior that has live edge interior siding, Asian influence with marvel comic pictures on moist walls. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Ordered meat loaf lunch with mashed potatoes w/ gravy and green beans. Wife had fish and chips w/slaw that i sampled. The meatloaf was made on site with frozen vegetables, mashed potatoes were also made from scratch. Gravy was not made on site but tasted OK. Canned green beans were recooked. Overall, it was a fair meal. The fish was cod and frozen portions fried well. The chips were cooked twice and slightly under fried. The slaw was wet and unremarkable. The tartar sauce was runny and tasted a bit like ranch dressing with pickles. Floors in both the main seating area and bathroom was dirty.

For starters, the food was good. The staff was polite, friendly, and professional. The place reminds me of those old fashion family restaurant. Where the food portions are huge and the price is reasonable. Compliments to the Chef and Waitress! The waitress advised me to get the Mt. St. Helens breakfast and the chef knocked it out of the park. Believe you me, when I say, you will not leave the restaurant hungry. I was stuffed when I left! As for the restroom, it was to my liking. Although, I did noticed one of the men’s urinal was out of service. Overall, would I return? I sure would! I see pictures of their chicken fried steak breakfast, and that would be the reason why I would go back there for. Hopefully, you too will have a great experience of eating there.

Easy to miss driveway. Be careful. Food was delicious and came out hot and fast. Service was great! She came to the table with a smile and was frequently checking on us. The prices are great for the amount of food you get. There is also an adorable little corner full of toys and a play house for the kids. The only thing I have negative to say was the table felt dirty and the condiments and menu for bubble tea were very dirty. The blinds next to me had food splatter all over them. I didn't sit at a dirty table because it was set up to be sat at. So it had already been "cleaned".
