We ordered fresh spring rolls, pork pad thai, and grilled chicken rice noodles. My girlfriend ordered her pad thai as a spicy "1" which means mild but when it came to her it was so hot that she had to return it. We asked to return the dish and have it re-made but the female server scolded her and said that she cautioned her to try it as a "1" when she ordered it. I vividly remember her ordering it as a "1" (mild). The female woman rolled her eyes and reluctantly took the plate back to the kitchen. We could hear her yelling (in Vietnamese or Chinese) in the kitchen complaining about the customer (my girlfriend). Whatever happened to the saying that the customer is always right and making sure the customer, especially in a restaurant, is satisfied with their meal? While we were waiting for her order to come out another customer came back into the restaurant to request an additional peanut sauce for his meal and both the male and female server made a big deal that this would cost an additional $1, which he understood but the servers were visibly upset with the customer because they didn't think he understood. We left the restaurant and I left no tip for the meal. I wanted to tell them that we didn't like how we were treated (woman yelling and making us feel bad for having the kitchen remake the pad thai dish) but we didn't think that they wanted to hear any feedback. I do not recommend anyone going to this restaurant due to our experience eating there. My girlfriend was so upset that she couldn't eat the pad thai. We believe that the servers are the owners of the business as well. This is the absolute worst experience we have had at...
Read moreFood is awesome, some of the best Asian food I've ever personally had. Not as Americanised as most places tend to be. They use good quality ingredients that are always fresh, the vegetables are always flavorful and vibrantly colored(as well as properly cooked) They offer several nationalities of Asian cuisine and all of them are equally delicious. I love their phó the broth is amazing, the seasoning is very well balanced and the meat and vegetables are very fresh. The sweet and sour chicken is some of the best I've had, so is the fried rice. The rice is flavorful and well cooked. Tender but never mushy. The vegetables are always vibrant and properly cooked, just the right amount of egg and they use a decent quality oil when they prepare it which adds a nice complexity to the flavor of the rice. The lo main is also amazing and they're one of very few places I actually enjoy tofu dishes from. Never been disappointed there and the prices are also very reasonable. 3 of us just ate there for just under $50 which accounts for 2 bowls of phó an order of combination lo mein plus drinks. The place is always very clean and organized as well. You really can't go wrong there for a place to get a good quality meal that's not much pricier than fast food. Staff are always very...
Read moreFriendly staff, huge portions, very affordable. The kids split a sesame tofu, the wife went for general tsao tofu. I opted for the honey walnut prawns, made spicy. Everything was spot on! A throw back, of Chinese restaurants from the 90s!
The server treated us to some tea, and a kimchi style salad! Both were very tasty and I would recommend, the fresh ingredients with a slight heat like shambal and sesame oil with some vinagar creating a viniagrett! She even offered us some soup, but because of our dietary restrictions, the egg drop soup contained chicken broth. The fried rice was delicious, and I saw some other dishes go out, and honestly could have split a dinner! The appetizer sampler looked like for any omnivore it could be a smorgasbord, to tuck into with some drinks! The place was fairly packed, and no doubt because the food was good!
I am a fan of leftovers, and there were plenty of good looking options on the menu! Although the vegetarian section was small, they were willing to make any dish with tofu substituted for the protein! So one could try a great many tofu dishes, not otherwise posted...
