Looked at reviews prior to going in to eat. They were all over the place and many were not recent. Anyway, you seat yourself when you get there, although that is not very clear. A man sitting at the counter told me to go ahead and sit anywhere. Found a table and sat down. A server came over quickly with a menu and silverware and asked if I wanted anything to drink. Coffee and water were brought quickly. Really nice menu with a nice selection. I went with Bob's omelette with hash browns and I tried their pancakes. The food came out quite fast and looked delicious. Hash browns were nicely browned on the outside. Omelette was large and had nice proportion of egg to fillings. Topped with a salsa and cheese. Pancakes were cooked well, golden brown. Coffee refill was offered once, which was enough for me. All in all,I enjoyed my breakfast and first meal at Bob's. I expect I'll eat here again. The staff was friendly but the food was nasty. The food isn’t fresh and they use canned soup, frozen vegetables and they handed us uncooked eggs. We wanted sunny side up eggs but the top of the eggs were raw and still supper runny. I ran my fork through them and I was picking up raw egg whites. We also asked for Apple juice and they gave the kids orange juice and that made the kids angry. We didn’t finish the soup because it tasted iron from being in the can. When you send back your undercooked hash browns, your eggs and chicken fried steak should not be returned to you cold.
When you complain that your eggs and your chicken fried steak are cold, you should not have to pay full price.
The whole point of asking for something crispy is so that it does not come out as undercooked potatoes, then to have your $10 plate return to you cold and have to pay full price is absolutely unacceptable.
