Maria's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Ceres

My original review was for an experience I had a month ago. Went back to get tacos and they were not the same quality as that review. Very mid and the meat could’ve used some more time on grilled it was dry and not the same flavor as last time or the same look either. Not sure if they changed cooks or it’s just not consistent quality you can tell by the pictures which are quality and which aren’t

June: I went here with my mom for the first time back in 2016. I loved the burrito and went back in 2020 wasn’t the best for some reason I was not liking it. I’ve tired the one in Atwater and the one in Modesto but those didn’t quite hit the spot. I went today, in Ceres, for some tacos and these taste better than the Keyes taco truck tacos!! Their sauce is sooo good and spicy! The lime made it even better! I can not put into words how satisfied I was with this meal! I ordered one supreme taco with guacamole and one street taco with everything(sauce cilantro and onion). DELICIOUS! The Al pastor was pretty good too I took a bite out of that one too and it didn’t disappoint. Have been here a few times but, I now prefer to go to the Modesto one instead. The customer service is better there. Their food is good here but, their customer service is so horrible at this location. They never ask if you need anything additional for your food and anytime you are about to ask them for something they close the window on you. Every time I have got their attention to ask for something extra like ketchup, napkin, etc they super stingy on it. I know they are a small business but if they say it's an additional charges I would not mind paying extra for the amount I need to enjoy my food. The girls at the window always have some type of attitude. Even when your nice to them. Hopefully the owner or management can handle this matter. I would love to refer more people to...

The taco shop in Ceres served us the worst food weve ever ordered. Parts of chicken on my taco was burnt to a crisp. Same with my husbands shredded beef burrito. My chili relleno had to have been cooked 10 yrs ago because theres no way if it were fresh, it would have looked like it did. We will NEVER go back there. The Modesto Marias has for yrs, served us the best dishes on the planet. Never had a problem there. Go to Ceres if you want to waste your money and have bad food. Go to Modesto if you want what...
