Meet Fresh — Restaurant in Cerritos

My husband and I were really excited to try this place, but unfortunately left feeling very underwhelmed and disappointed. When we arrived, the location was very busy and we thought that would be a good sign. Upon entering there is signage stating that this is a cashless and kiosk only café. Once we got to the kiosk the menu was extremely confusing. It took us more than five minutes to figure out where the drinks were located and what drinks we even wanted to order by the time I had found my drink, which was a iced matcha latte and a fresh milk tea with Taro. After we placed our order, we went to find seating until it was time to pick up. table that we were sitting at was not clean. In fact we ended up moving to the seating near the window instead, because it was not sanitary to sit. We did happen to come on the weekend and the inside of the café is not very large, which is fine, but the seating was very limited. It was also very stuffy. I would assume that considering how small their seating is that there would be at least some type of air-conditioning or even have the door open to let in some type of airflow.We ended up waiting at least 25 minutes for order to be called and by the time we went to pick it up we were both questioning the quality of our items. As soon as we left we both took our first step in immediately were disappointed. My iced Matcha latte was not flavorful at all. The Matcha itself was a very dirty green color and not a vibrant shade. I also ordered my drink with half sugar because I wasn’t sure how sweet the drink may be because the description left me with no idea of the taste profile. Unfortunately there was no flavor to be had even though there was strawberry purée at the bottom of my drink. I am also lactose intolerant, but unfortunately, there was no option for me to substitute my whole milk for a dairy free or lactose option which was disappointing my husband‘s fresh milk tea looks like dirty dish water and tasted like whole milk. We also order a matcha red bean waffle that was very underwhelming. There was also an unnamed item in our waffle box, a popsicle stick wrapped in blue masking tape. Not sure why that would be included in the box seeing that it looked extremely unsanitary. The waffle itself was tasteless and dry. Our order total came out to $26.80 for THREE ITEMS. My husband also experienced an allergic reaction after taking a sip of his drink, for context he is allergic to certain protein additives. This place is not worth the money, we are extremely disappointed with...

New Taiwanese dessert spot in Cerritos? Well, I gotta Chiang Kai-shek this place out for myself!

After having dinner at Pinoy Pinay, Meet Fresh & the $1 off coupon beckoned us to come in. Eager to try one of their popular treats, I noticed the shaved ice desserts and wanted one of those. Perturbed that most were $10+, the signature jelly noodle shaved ice was chosen, as it was the cheapest option ($7.20).

Signature jelly noodle shaved ice- Jelly noodles, mung & red beans, boba, sweet potato & taro balls. Refreshing! Like halo halo, but not sickeningly sweet. The jelly noodles were as chewy as udon noodles. The sweet potato & taro balls were also of the same consistency. The boba completed the chewy trifecta. Shaved ice kept the dessert cold on a hot August day. I would've preferred shaved snow, as it has a better texture. While not as sweet as I believe what the general Western public would prefer, I really enjoyed Meet Fresh' signature jelly noodle shaved ice.

Service was fine. Ordering is via the register or through the tablets on the left of the eatery. Ample seating via booths & tables. Parking can be hard to come by during peak hours. Meet Fresh is located in the Sprouts Marketplace, left of Pinoy Pinay & right of Thai Mayom.

Yummy, yummy! Meet Fresh satiates the sweet tooth without going overboard. The al dente consistency of the sweet potato & taro balls, not to mention the jelly noodles, really makes for a fun dessert experience. I'm not too big on sugar nowadays, and Meet Fresh helps me be good on a cheat day. I have more coupons that'll expire by the end of the month, so I'm anxiously awaiting visiting again.

This is the only place left near me that I can order a custom shaved ice. I was told by the corporate locations that the option is no longer available at their corporate locations

I love this franchise location still honors custom shaved ice option. There are no waste, and I only get what I like to eat.

At the corporate locations, if you want to substitute items, they take out the item you don't want, add the item you want and change you for the new item you added on top of the full price you pay. You don't get credit for the item you don't want. This limits the selections to their pre-set menu only.

The reason why I didn't give a 5 stars is because the inconsistency in my oder. The first three times I ordered custom shaved ice with grass jelly and pudding, the order was perfect! Shaved ice with sugar water with grass jelly and pudding. Today, my order came with condensed milk and an ice cream. When I asked, they said that's how custom shaved ice served. . Mmmm, what happened to the last three times then.

Next time, I will need to tell them to hold the condensed milk and the ice cream.
