Rosewoods Restaurant — Restaurant in Cerritos

My dad and I went to this restaurant recently, and I have to say, it was a bit of a letdown. I ordered the buffalo wings, and they were quite disappointing. They tasted like frozen wings that had been reheated, which is not what I expected. My dad had the Red pozole, and he described it as tasting like something you can buy from a can at Walmart. The service was also terrible. The server seemed to have a negative attitude towards us, which made the dining experience unpleasant. On top of that, the restaurant needed a lot of renovation. It looked like it was falling apart, with spider webs and cockroaches everywhere, even in the restroom. The atmosphere was also terrible. There was no AC, and the place had a strong odor. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money and your taste buds for a better place....

First and foremost, I would like to thank Marta(our sever) which treated my wife and I phenominally. This is definitely a restaurant that has been in business ever since I remember and I am sure there is a reason why.

Surprisinly, this place serves menudo 7 days a week which makes it a plus. Meat loaf was great along with vegetables and gravy had a different kind of good taste. Music needs an upgrade but then again, this is a quiet kind of place if you just want to chill.

Over all restaurant presentation was an 8.5 due to some details that the restroom needed. Taste in my opinion is a 9 and customer service is a solid 10. I highly recommend this place. I have been doing reviews for quiet some time and I rank in the top 1% in the long beach area.

My friend from out of town, and I visited Rosewood because she was craving Pozole! I had told her i'd seen a blackboard sign there that said they had "fresh chicken pozole". I ordered a small albondigas soup and a bacon cheeseburger, she ordered the Pozole, large size. While I was well satisfied with my order, she was transported by hers. It was Huge, full of Chicken, and served nice and hot with a 2nd bowl of chopped cabbage, chopped onion, Cilantro, and salsa. She scooped some of that into the Pozole bowl and said "This is perfectly delicious!" After eating as much as she could, she left with a large styroform container of the remaining pozole...which she saved for this morning's breakfast. Oh, did I mention her saying the corn tortillas were fresh and...
