Good pizza, BUT.... This review is one of my more "mixed feelings " about this establishment. Based on what I heard on other reviews about how good their pizza was, I was eager to experience it next. I found the pizza was just what I was in the mood for that day. The Good: Old school square pie Not too thick Just enough sauce A little burnt on the bottom, "which I'm good with," Nice tasting, Peperoni Good crisp throughout. The Bad: The wait time on this was ridiculous, bordering on absurd. I called ahead to order my pizza but couldn't get through (1st warning sign) I was only 10 minutes away, so I continued on to the shop. Yes, there were about 5 customers in the restaurant when I arrived. All looked sort of irritated (2nd warning sign). The two wait staff girls were very pleasant, so I ordered. At this moment, there was a steady flow of call ahead customers flowing in to pick up their orders, most still had to wait. It was at that point I heard one of the wait staff girls say they are around 70 pizzas behind... They eventually stopped taking orders either by phone or walking. My wait time this day was well over an hour+. Since that day I've made multiple attempts to return and order again But every time I go, the wait is close to an hour... for-a-pizza.. Sorry Pop's your food is delicious (it really was) BUT... your service response time is way too long for the average customer, we will have to give our business to other eaterys in the area as your place is clearly not up to the task of providing a...
Read moreThere's something spellbinding about the simple yet alluring offerings at Pop's Pizzeria. I recently had the pleasure of diving into their pepperoni pizza and a peach caprese salad. The experience was nothing short of culinary poetry.
The pepperoni pizza was a sumptuous feast. The dough, hand-tossed and baked to perfection, carried an appreciable crunch and a fluffy interior. It served as an excellent foundation to the rich, tangy tomato sauce and the molten river of mozzarella. Each slice was generously adorned with pepperoni that added an element of zing, satisfying the palate on multiple dimensions.
The Peach Caprese Salad was a wonderful surprise, an unexpected hero on the menu. The sweet, juicy peaches interplayed beautifully with the creamy, fresh mozzarella. The basil provided an aromatic highlight, while the balsamic glaze added just the right amount of tang. It was a refreshing complement to the hearty pizza, creating a balanced meal that left me satiated yet craving for more.
Overall, Pop's Pizzeria delivered a delightful dining experience that was both comforting and novel. The decision to order an entire pie was a stroke of brilliance, as every bite was a reaffirmation of their dedication to quality and flavor. I am already looking forward to my next visit. Their offerings are worth indulging in, time and time again. You have to...
