Avocado Cafe — Restaurant in Chambersburg

I really don’t enjoy giving Avocado Cafe 2 stars. We have probably ordered at least 50 times from here…us and the kids just love it. However, we’ve been so disappointed the last 3 times, so disappointed that we just can’t waste money here anymore. For a family of 5…our bill averages $75-100 per visit, depending if we get smoothies for the kids or not. We ordered a small take out today. 2 brunch wraps and 2 chicken avocado salads. We ended up tossing the wraps. They were so “eggy”, the taste was terrible. We picked up the food as it was being bagged, got home about 10 minutes later, the wraps were so wet and soggy..the chips were wet too. So we went to the salads that we got to save for later…._it’s just not the same. They used to put a really nice portion of avocado on this salad…I mean it IS the avocado cafe…they now cut it up in small chunks, we had 3 or 4 pieces, the chicken was so bland..it’s just not as good. It’s just so disappointing to spend a nice chunk of change on a meal, and not be able to eat it. We are by far the least pickiest people ever…and we love to support local businesses…but can’t support this one anymore! At least the girl working was super nice when we called in to order. I hope they got rid of the girl who hangs up the phone very rudely, without saying thank you or good bye or a time your food...

Flavorful food with tons of healthy options, a west coast vibe for sure. Happy to see the same great business now in a new location. From friendly staff, to a wide selection of smoothies, paninis, brunch food, and of course Avacado Toast, Avacado Cafe is the perfect restaurant whether you have time to sit inside, or even if you're just grabbing some carry-out on the flu. I highly recommend the Avocado Brunch Platter if it's your first time stopping, or you don't know what you're in the mood for. It comes with a spinach and feta omelette, 3 mini pancakes, and a slice of avacado Toast. I always add a triple berry smoothie with vanilla protein powder. If you're like us, the meal will be so good that you go back the next day for the exact same plate. I visited this place for the first time yesterday and it was fantastic. The restaurant is about a block from the square in Chambersburg but, don't worry, the town has decent parking so no parallel parking if you don't like to. There's plenty of seating inside, tables and booths. The place is very clean and the service is excellent. I got the avocado brunch. It included a spinach omelet, 3 mini pancakes, and avocado toast. The omelet was cooked perfectly and was so tasty. The pancakes were the right size and amount. The avocado toast was so yummy. The bread was a thick toast so it handled the avocado on top.
