China Wok — Restaurant in Chambersburg

Had a huge ordeal today of all days with them! Ordered our family lunch and paid over the phone... When they showed up an hour later they asked for payment again. I said we already paid for this order and the lady said it went through and we would get our food in an hour. After talking to the lady who delivered and her calling somebody on the phone and talking to that person on the phone they said that there was a mistake with my bank and my bank rejected it I go online my bank did not reject the payment I didn't see anything on my bank. So the lady said she will talk to her manager and they will call me. An hour hour and a half later a gentleman (I use that term lightly) calls... Told me that there was an error with their system and the girls new and he apologizes for the whole situation and he was going to give us a free meal and ask if that was okay I said of course that's fine he says well I need you to pay for your meal . So I again say I already paid for the meal and he says well it didn't go through but we refunded it and you will get it I said what and 3 to 5 business days so now instead of my lunch costing $38 it's going to be $75. I said it is 2 days before Christmas who has $75 to spend on lunch to wait for your deposit to come back to me through the bank which will take 3 to 5 business days to clear he says well I need your payment. He started to get very rude after I told him I wouldn't give him my card information again and told me he was going to turn me in so I said please do so and give them my number and I told him I was finished with the conversation and hung up. I called the police explain the situation and I'm currently waiting to hear about the situation. Long story short I don't feel they appreciate the business that that we have given them over the last 20 some years and therefore they don't need my money! Absolutely...

My FAVORITE Chinese restaurant. The ONLY Chinese restaurant I’ll order from!! They serve everything hot and fast!! The lady on the phone who takes the orders is very proficient and never makes a mistake with my order. The food tastes great and the portions are generous. I know the inside of the restaurant might need some repairs to bring it more up to code, but the food they pump out of there is always perfect. In the 10 years I’ve eaten from there…I’ve never got sick from it, I’ve always got exactly what I ordered and it’s always been hot and tasty. Other places in town give you smaller portions or serve a smaller portion then add “filler”on top(like a piece of broccoli) to make it look like you’re getting more food. But then still charge the same amount...

What seemed to be very nice service ended up being a misled ingredient list that damn near killed me. After calling once before ordering from this establishment to assure there were no Bell Peppers of any kind in the Garlic Chicken due to my ALLERGY and have it confirmed on the telephone, I placed my order, again confirming my Bell Pepper ALLERGY once again, only to find that my food sent me into FULL BLOWN ALLERGIC REACTION. Allergy request is not something to be endured as a customer especially if it’s going to cost me another EpiPen. The food I have had there before was very good but don’t want to die for it. My cheap eats ended up...
