Stopped in for lunch and ended up buying dinner as well. There’s so much to try here - from banh mi to piles of tofu to cassava cake and mung bean rice cake. I ended up getting the pork and egg roll vermicelli and three enormous spring rolls for $18. Great value considering the vermicelli dish alone would sell for that in a restaurant. Everything is pre-made and ready to grab and go. It’s also a great way to familiarize yourself with Vietnamese classics. You can get sides like rice and stir fried or pickled veggies and make your own banquet! The barbecue chicken looked amazing. Definitely getting that and some soup next time. This spot will be in my rotation for delicious lunches that don’t make me broke!

Saigon Tofu is a fantastic spot that truly stands out in the area, especially for those looking for authentic Vietnamese snacks and food. They offer a great variety of traditional options, which is hard to find around here. It's also my favorite spot to get banh mi sandwiches—their flavors are rich, fresh, and reminiscent of homemade Vietnamese cuisine, making it a popular choice among the local Vietnamese community. While the store could use a little clean up and wiped down, the food quality and unique selection more than make up for it. It's definitely worth a visit if you're craving genuine Vietnamese treats!

Edit: I am amazed and delighted that the owner responded. I love it! I have changed my review to five stars because I believe anyone who can respond so kindly to criticism will definitely follow through on the requested changes. Thank you for making such delicious food and for being so responsive to your customers! Saigon Tofu's food is delicious, but they have a real problem with freshness. On several occasions I have purchased items, particularly items from the refrigerated section, only to find when I get home that they are already spoiled. In fact, it happened today. Among my purchases were two packages of the exact same item, weirdly in different containers, and when I got home and opened them one smelled like rotten fish and the other one was fine (I hope). Clearly one of them should have been taken off the shelf days ago. I bought two normally creamy and delicious desserts and both of them were so hard and stale that I had to throw them away. And other than the reasonably priced $4 sandwiches, the food is not cheap. It has happened so often that I feel like I'm risking food poisoning just to eat their yummy food. I wish the owners would simply put the date on the package when they prepare it. Then the customers can decide based on that date (and the staff will have something concrete to go by when they are removing old items). Personally, I would go there much more often and spend a lot more money if I could be sure that the food I was...

I went to this place today. DESPITE someone already telling me not to go. I went anyways with my kids. The customer service was not great. Food tastes okay. But I stood there in line with my son and my baby. In order and I got skipped 2 times over. She let the people behind me cut me. Even when I got up to pay and I put my basket on the table. She told the other Vietnamese person ( in a different line) to pass her food to her and paid first. So was another guy with a different women cashier. TWO different lines… the women spoke in their language to cut me. I’ve never felt so disrespected and insulted in my life. My son who 9 years old by the way. Even stated how rude and inconsiderate they are.

I will not be going back there. One and done. Learned my lesson. Of course all the food is lukewarm. Food isn’t that great to come back and let them make me feel less than because I didn’t speak...

August 2025 Update: Possibly new owners and a rebrand. Higher prices!! Tofu is now $2.50. Prices significantly higher overall for same food. Will go elsewhere.

———-

We used to go to Viet Tofu. It was great. Then it went downhill. Now its shut and we are told they moved to Saigon Tofu.

First off, they charge 50% more for a block of fresh tofu. Viet Tofu used to be buy 5 at $1 each, get 6th free.

None of the foods are clearly labeled in English. Nor are prices clear. That would help non-Vietnamese folks a lot, who want to try new things.

Old favorites like mock shredded pork and lemongrass tofu are not often there. Not sure why they claim a vegetarian focus.

Just okay overall. Buford Highway...
