Wehemia Ethiopian Restaurant — Restaurant in Chamblee

Wehemia is just amazing!! The quality, the flavor, everything at this restaurant is perfect. I’ve ordered twice now (once in person to go, and today to have some food picked up for me) and the man who owns this restaurant is so pleasant and sweet. I ordered awaze tibs, lega tibs, and gomen besiga and I haven’t even finished eating yet because I had to run and leave a review! The first time we ordered from here a few months ago we ordered the awaze tibs as well as kitfo and it was equally amazing then but I really wanted to try out more Ethiopian restaurants in the area to see which one I’d like most. Came back for a second try today and I’m pretty sure we have a favorite now!! Great customer service, serving sizes are generous, and the food is consistently so incredibly delicious! This is the best Ethiopian cousine, especially, when it comes to cultural foods like 'kitfo' with it's very typical and real flavour. If you are a lover of 'kitfo( minced meat with home made spicy butter,hot peper that is soooo... tasty), this is not only the right, but the best place. The 'gomen besiga' ( green cabbage with meat) is also sooo... yummy. Anyway, I recommand everyone to come and try it once then for sure you will send your friends to come here. The kindest people you’ll ever meet! I’ve been coming here since the day they opened, and the food is always incredible, made with so much love and care. Both owners are from my mom’s ethnic group, so every visit feels like a trip back home with my family in Ethiopia.
