Absolutely disappointing. I had ordered a catered meal of the taco bar 2 days prior for a party on Sunday to be ready at 320 as people.were arriving at 330. When I arrived with my 2 teenage grandkids the manager didnt know anything about order. He pulled it up and started to gather food. When he brought it out I noticed right away there was only beef when we had ordered chicken also. Also there were no chips or salsa. We left and half way home (6 miles).we.noticed there were no plates and forks and napkins. At home unpacking no pan of rice either or the family salad. Tried calling and got call center. Cecilia finally got ahold of manager just as we arrived back at store leaving a house full of guests alone. Manager didnt acknowledge us and I asked if he was getting the rest of the order ready. He said yes. Reminded him of plates etc. Asked him for the racks with sterno warmers and he got those. Once we home again there were no pans for water for the sterno racks to warm food. Also no serving utensils which are normally included. t was a fiasco. Our family orders catered parties several times a year. My adult son and daughter also. Very unorganized and when I asked.for complimentary guacamole the first trip due to the delay the manager said no he'd given us extra meat which was not true. When opened at home it was exactly what was in order. Really put a damper on.my party which was supposed to be less work and stress not preparing...
   Read moreI’m giving them 1 star because my food was good both times we tried this location. Our first trip was later in the evening and second trip was right before lunch hour. Both times the restaurant was dirty...tables dirty, the doors were dirty, and trash cans were overflowing. Other reviews say the line is chaos, it’s true. It took me 25 min to order my food. And I wasn’t that far to the start line. The employees are hot and miserable looking and I felt bad for them. It’s AZ and in the summer. I can’t imagine how bad it is in the kitchen. The poor girl making the tortillas kept going back to a mini fan that she was in front of in between flipping tortillas. The guy making the orders was dripping sweat; luckily he used his arm to stop it from going into the food. Another worker had long hair with no hairnet, just a hat that was barely on. I should have just left. It seems like there is no structure to the madness of ordering. I definitely prefer Costa Vida food and great customer service and cleanliness of restaurant. We won’t be back at this location again. I will however try the one by the San Tan Mall and Chandler Mall. Management has to get it...

The first time I went there it was very disorganized and they messed up my family's order and we reminded them multiple times and ended up with our meal. Since the place was only open for a month I thought they were still training and trying to get a hang of things so this time when I came back I expected a more professional and organized environment but I was wrong. This time was worse. I stood in line for over 20 minutes and had my order mixed up with the family behind me. Then they had not added the necessary sides with the order and I had to remind them multiple time and they still messed up our order. When I got home, both of the Quesadillas had burnt bread and the meat was all on one side. Also they forgot the Guacamole and Sour Cream. The assembly line had no communication and were trying to figure out orders while we were waiting to pay. Overall I will NEVER EVER go back to any Cafe Rio location.
