Iām absolutely disgusted with the treatment I just received at this good will. I purchased an item and came back to pick it up within the hold window as I had to arrange a U-Haul. When I returned the āmanagerā told me it would be In The back. Then another lady (also a manager apparently) goes to the back to find it and canāt. Then proceeds to tell me someone else must have removed the āsoldā paper they put on the item and therefor the item was gone. PROCEEDS TO RETURN MY MONEY INTO A GIFT CARD. This is where I lost it. Thatās straight up theft to keep my money from an item I bought and they neglected to move to the back after it was sold. They sold the item twice. Made money off it twice. And think itās ok to keep my money when Iām empty handed. The other manager that told me the items go to the back prior, was gone for the day minutes after I spoke to her so we will see what she says tomorrow, but that is SO wrong. Not only am I out the U-Haul money as I didnāt have an item to pick up, Iām also stuck with a gift card instead of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience with an employee named Collette at this Goodwill location. My husband and I stood patiently in her line while she checked out a customer. When it was our turn, she looked at us and abruptly told us she wasnāt on register and to go to another line. She was incredibly rude and dismissive, offering no explanation, and made us feel like we were a burden.
What made this even worse was that right after us, a woman got in line behind us and Collette called her over and rang her up immediately. Iām not sure why we were treated so differently, but as a Hispanic customer, I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Whether it was intentional or not, the behavior came off as discriminatory, and thatās deeply upsetting.
Goodwill is supposed to be a place of community, but this experience made me feel like I didnāt belong. I hope management seriously looks into this and ensures all customers are treated with basic respect...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the worst experience shopping at the Gilbert and Ocotillo in my life. One woman employee rolled out the cart with merchandise. I was standing 6 feet away and she , Brandi, said to me, "dont take anything off the cart, please." It was rude the way she said it. I said I wasnt going to. Another customer walked up to the other cart took something off the cart and nothing was said to her. I said arent you to tell her? Brandi said its not my cart. Then Brandi said, "you dont have to shop here if you dont like it." Brandi then took the white plastic sign off the cart and shook it in my face. I said Im getting a manager.
The store manager, black lady, was checking customers out. I got in her line. I told her what happened. The manager apologized and said she would take care of it. I felt things needed to go further.
I went to Goodwill to go shopping, not to be harassed and...
