I never leave reviews but this time I had to. I donāt want anyone to waste their money on the location. When I buy fried chicken I only go to Popeyeās & I usually get 16 pcs family chicken meals & a 16 pcs tender meal or something close to that. My bill is usually between $45-$70 per visit. This location (Gilbert rd & Octillo) is horrible! First visit food was extremely burnt. Waste of $65. few months later I tried again. Ordered online tonight. Drove 15 minutes. Went to drive thru. They asked me to pull around front & park & theyād bring me my order because it wasnāt quite ready. I parked right by the entrance. 15 minutes laterā¦I go inside. (35 minutes total from order time) By their actions I knew they forgot I was waiting. They had no customers inside or drive thru & somehow managed to forgot I was waiting. My food was ready but not bagged. I finally get home & all chicken & chicken tenders burnt again & I mean burnt not just overcooked. It was burnt! My order was to cover dinner tonight & lunch for my husband tomorrow. This was a waste of $50 & a huge inconvenience! 2 attempts @ Gilbert Rd & Ocotillo Rd. location is enough for me! Iām done! When I order thru the app and indicate pickup āin storeā I expect to pick up indoor. Ok. Covid. Itās closed. But, the drive thru is nine cars deep and Iāve already paid. Ordered at 630, indicated Iām five mins away at 6:38. Arrive at 640 to find dining room closed. Enter drive thru. Get to speaker at 650 indicate my prepaid order number. Get to window at 655 and theyāre not ready. In fact they tried to collect pmt for car behind me. Then theyāre lost when I say I am order number X. Took three minutes and they got the order wrong, missing food, and cold. Thereās no valid excuse for this in todayās restaurant industry. This is a failure of every system in Popeyeās āhow to run a franchiseā book. If I owned this place Iād close it for a month and retrain and then say sorry to every known customer Iāve ever had. What the heck that's all they make, and they can't even do that right!! Avoid this store as it can't even keep employees!
