I am a customer seeking remedy for a situation that took place at the Sunnys Diner located on Chandler and Alma School. On 6/10 I placed and order for $105 through postmates. Upon arriving for pick up I was told my food would be ready at 8:40 after being placed at 8:15 am.I called at 8:50 and again at 9:10 each time i spoke with a rude person who identified herself as Sam/Sammy. I asked Sam if she could possibly bring my food out to the car once it was ready. Sam was very vocal about how inconvenient that would be for her. After waiting a bit more time I called again to see if the order was ready, it was and had been sitting. After receiving the food i noticed there were items missing and my order was cold. I attempted to call back and speak with a manager. I spoke with a gentelman(alex) on the phone that identified himself as the manager. I explained the scenario and that Sam was rude and i preferred to speak with someone who was capable of exhibiting customer service rather than taking the issue personal. I was placed on hold for 7 minutes and then Sam got on the line very agressive and in an argumentative manner. I stated i had already expressed my issue and was being helped and she continued to argue and say i needed to repeat everything to get help and she packed my bag "so if i had a problem id have to speak to her." I finally repeated myself and then suggested that i come down so that the situation can be dealt with in person to avoid misunderstanding. Sam then called me a threatening customer though i had not threatened her at all. I mentioned to Sam how dangerous it is to wrongfully accuse people of threats and made her aware of all of the wrongful deaths that happen from such misunderstandings. I also clarified that i am not making threats but merely offering an alternative to speaking on the phone. Sam then decided to rally other workers in the conversation laughing and being condescending and causing a scene when i simply wanted my missing items to be made or refunded. Sam placed me on hold for 19 minutes i then called back from another number and got an answer. I was then handed back over to Sam, she then stated i had mentioned guns as a threat and made inflammatory accusations about a weapon that had never been mentioned(the conversation was recorded in its entirety with no mention of any weapons nor threats being made) the end result was Sam hanging up in my face and refusing to assist me without resolve or remedy. Sam was comfortable forfeiting the application of professionalism and exhibiting what i can only identify as street/confrontational behavior. My minor children had to witness this unecesaary interaction and were made to feel uncomfortable as this person wrongfully accused their mother as a threat and were visibly distraught. My family and i frequent the resturaunt and have never experienced such diplorable behavior. Not only is she lacking in customer service but she definately needs diversity training as well as coaching on how to deal with and treat people as human beings. The scenario should not have escalated to the point that it has. Sam should not take customer complaints personal nor should she verbally attack and berate customers. Im hoping this is not a reflection of managment. Im looking for someone that is of sound mind and reason to reach out, address and rectify this situation as soon...
Read moreFirst time at this location and found out, they are the same owners as the Tempe Sunny's breakfast place. Same amazing customer service and quality breakfast for both places.
I love Sunny's atmosphere and this Chandler location has a more modern look to it but best the part is that, I feel like I'm eating breakfast at home. I'm not at another breakfast establishment where I feel like "another customer". The staff here really treats you well. I want to recognize my server, Alexis, for always checking on me and making sure I am good on my coffee and everything else! The servers working with her today were Levelle and Erika and they all work together as a team. I see them checking with each other if they need help. Thank you all for a good first time experience and meant it when I say I think I found my new breakfast place!
The coffee is freshly grounded up and brewed! I saw them ground the beans up myself and you can taste the difference. I told the staff the coffee taste better than the big franchise coffee shops!
Food was great! The bacon was crispy just how I like it and Alexus would check to see if I want the bacon crispy so that is nice! I usually finish my plate but couldn't get that last French toast in.
Price is reasonable and not overly priced like other breakfast joints. Tons of free parking spaces and they have a dog friendly patio for all the doggos out there that is joining you for breakfast in the morning. With dogs, there is a gate entrance to the patio for outdoor dinning but it is a shaded patio!
Overall, I recommend this place to all breakfast lovers in the area. Come...
Read moreI think we found our sweet spot for brunch, that place that is not overly priced, has great and flexible menu selections, and isn't so noisy that you can't have a conversation at your own table unless you are yelling at them! Love their Tempe location, same menu and great service here. This one is more modern and I favor it only because of it's location and it has a fresher (again modern) feel) over the Tempe. Same amazing menu, so much to choose from, flexible with subbing (example I ordered Biscuits and Gravy that came with eggs and 2 sausage links or bacon along with hash browns but I wanted pancakes so I was able to sub my hash browns for two "small" pancakes for just $5. By "small" I mean regular sized, their "regular" pancakes are huge! I'm so glad because the biscuits and gravy plate was gigantic! Honestly, two people could split what I ordered. Tasted like I remember as a kid, made from scratch right out of Grandma's kitchen! Eggs, sausage, and pancakes once again did not disappoint, portion sizes were great alone without the biscuits and gravy but so worth ordering and I would absolutely order again but maybe split with someone. My husband ordered pancakes with over easy eggs and hash browns and said they were consistent with the other location. Service here was amazing, our server Amelia was a sweetheart, and really took care of us. All in all, it was $45 before tip and that also included coffee and my iced tea so very reasonable especially when you see the portions and taste how great their food is! Definitely becoming a regular stop for brunch for us,...
