Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Chanhassen

Bad experience at this location! We have been fans of Caribou for years, so was excited for this new location since it's on one of our usual routes. However, on our visit here, we definitely did NOT get a "happy" coffee! The girl that seemed to in charge, and was also the girl making our 4 drinks was all worked up and slamming stuff around to make our drinks as fast as she possibly could. I don't like to get drinks that where just thrown together by some unhappy person. Then when something didn't go right for her with the whip cream, she resorted to swearing to show her frustration. We had our 3 kids in the car, so this was not appreciated. We got our drinks from someone that clearly was not enjoying making drinks that day, and that certainly is not the kind of drinks we wanted to get. I wish this location had the same food offerings as the one that was across hwy 7. I stopped for an XL mocha today. Ordered ahead in the app. The young man at the window came out of the back room with my coffee. I didn't notice that the cup was a mess before I took a sip. Expecting a piping hot coffee but what I got was nowhere close to even warm. My first sip sent a whole coffee bean into my mouth. Yuck. I needed the coffee and was in a hurry so I didn't go back. Called and was told I could get a refund. Ok but I wanted coffee. I drank more of the coffee and seemed to get to the hot part when I noticed it was getting thick and chocolaty. I opened the lid and saw the bottom 2 inches of the cup was straight chocolate syrup. Please tell your staff to remake mistakes rather than "wing" it. I don’t really go here often but every now and then I’ll find a gift card from 2018 in my drawer and then I can justify spending $7 for 250mg caffeine. However whenever I do go the team working is always speedy and extremely friendly. Whenever I pull out 4 gift cards with $0.30-$4 on them the cashiers always look at me like I’m crazy. I don’t know how much is on them. They’ve been in a drawer for 7 years every time I use one it’s like seeing if I won the lottery or if it’s just an empty one I forgot to throw away.
