We stumbled across Uptown Café on Google while looking for a good lunch spot and decided to give it a try—and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, it was clear this is a family-owned restaurant with a lot of heart. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating. You really get the sense they care about their customers and their food.
The menu immediately caught our attention with its bold flavors and unique offerings. I ordered the Bulgogi Burrito, and my girlfriend got one of their specials—a Korean BBQ-style bowl. We also grabbed a latte to go with our meals since we were short on time and didn’t want to stop at another coffee shop. The food came out quickly and was plated beautifully.
My Bulgogi Burrito was absolutely fire—packed with flavor, tender beef, and perfectly balanced with rice, veggies, and sauce. It had just the right kick and left me wishing I had room for a second. My girlfriend’s bowl, though, might have been the true standout. It had an incredible combination of textures and flavors—sweet, savory, and a little spicy—and she couldn’t stop raving about it.
The latte was just okay—not bad, just nothing remarkable—but honestly, the food was so good that we didn’t mind at all. If you’re in the area and love Korean BBQ-inspired dishes with a twist, Uptown Café is definitely worth a visit. Great food, great...

Here is the letter from the owners:
Dear beloved customers, supporters, and friends of Uptown Cafe,
First of all, we hope and pray that you are staying safe during these challenging times. It is very unfortunate that we can’t say our goodbyes face to face with every one of you but we are writing this letter to announce that our Uptown Cafe will be closing on the 26th of February, Friday.

However, we want to promise you that we will be back in business once we have established a new location. In the mean time, we will devote ourselves to creating an even greater variety of high quality menu items — with love and all of you in our thoughts.
You’ve all meant so much to us and we won’t be able to forget our ten years together at Uptown Cafe. We felt so loved by all of you and we are thankful we were able to share much joy and love through our food. Thank you so much for reciprocating the love with happy smiles and laughter. We can confidently say that we had the best ten full years of our lives because of your love and continued support. We pray that you will stay safe and healthy until we see each other...
Read moreI've been a regular at Uptown Cafe for about a year now, and it's easily one of my favorite spots in Chantilly. One of the things I love most about this place is their daily specials. I’m not someone who sticks to just one thing—I like to try whatever the special is that day, and it’s always a winner. From hearty soups to creative sandwiches, the specials are always fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared.
What makes Uptown Cafe stand out isn't just the great food—it's the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owners and staff have a knack for making you feel like part of the family. I’ve lost count of how many times they’ve gone out of their way to offer a sample or just strike up a friendly conversation. It’s the kind of place where you can come in for a quick meal and leave with a smile, knowing you’ll be back soon.
The cafe itself has a cozy, laid-back vibe, perfect for a casual lunch or a coffee break. And speaking of coffee, theirs is fantastic. It’s the perfect complement to whatever dish you’re enjoying. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I can’t recommend Uptown Cafe enough. Trust me, give their daily special a try—you won’t be...
