Ashley Bakery — Restaurant in Charleston

I saw Ashley Bakery on Instragam and decided to give them a try. I stopped by the bakery on Monday, February 13th looking to have a custom cake made for my husband on February 25th. I explained what type of cake I wanted and the young lady filled out the order form and told me that a final quote would be emailed to me within a few days. Today is now February 23rd and I never received any further correspondences. I ended up finding another bakery that surpassed my expectations. I messaged Ashley Bakery on their Instagram page only for them to delete my message (I guess so one else would see it). I got a response back stating that their email may have been sent to my Spam. However, I checked my spam and there wasn't anything from them. First impressions are lasting impressions and I wish I could have said that I had a great experience with this bakery. I guess they didnt want to service me, which is perfectly fine, I just wished that was expressed to me that day I came...

We had Ashely Bakery do our son's one year birthday cake and smash cake and they did a great job. We then wanted them to do a cake for an under the sea theme. We showed them pics of exactly what we wanted and they said they would still charge us $300 but couldn't do what we asked for. They also said they would charge us $8 per cupcke even though what we wanted was petty simple. We told them no and got Publix to do exactly what we wanted instead and charged us a third or less than what Ashley Bakery charged us. Not only did Publix do exactly what we wanted on the cake that Ashley Bakery refused to do, but Publix only charged us $3 per cupcake, not $8 which is what Ashley Bakey was trying to charge us.

So even though Ashley Bakery will do what you want MOST of them time, make sure you show them what you want. Plus Ashley Bakery is WAYYYY overpriced. Publix can seriously do as good of a job on most things. Maybe not on some of the specialized things, but most...

The staff of Ashley Bakery provided the groom's cake and the wedding cake for our daughter's wedding. We could not have been more pleased not only with the cakes' designs, but also with their taste. They were delicious and so many compliments about both cakes came our way. Many guests wanted to know who had baked the cakes.

Part of our satisfaction with Ashley Bakery came from the process of choosing the right cakes. The tasting of the various flavors was confusing, but a lot fun! They were all delicious and lead to us choosing a different flavor for each layer of the wedding cake. We could not have gone wrong with any of the flavors!

The staff was wonderful to work with - very professional, very friendly, and always gracious. There were no challenges; anything we wanted they worked to make happen. Their creativity is amazing. Basically, they are incredible!

We highly recommend Ashley Bakery for any wedding or other occasion!
