Interesting little place. Have to look hard for there’s not a lot of signage. Look for address on the awning, step inside with a sign & arrow pointing downstairs….. walk down a small hall and voilà…. You see people sitting at tables !! Nicolette was our bartender/server. Very nice young lady. The bar stool cushions need a little TLC but the vibe is terrific. The special today was Turkey, lettuce, tomato wrap with sweet potato fries. Large enough for us to split. It was moist, tasty & plenty of turkey on it. Definitely recommend to stop for lunch.

We stoped for lunch on our way through Charleston. The restaurant was clean, the two gals working were incredibly friendly (Nicolette served us at the bar), and our food was delicious! We got a Ruben and a Rachel with the best onion rings I have ever had. The prices are super reasonable and the menu has all of the American staples you would expect. We also each had a cocktail that was crafted well! We don’t get to Charleston often, but we will definitely be back.

One-of-a-kind hole in the wall bar and grill, or could say hole in the ground, as this place is located beneath an old, historic hotel (now office building). Our server Julie was kind and welcoming, and all the staff we interacted with were beyond pleasant. The food was just average - chicken wrap and chicken quesadillas simply ok to good, but not great. However, we enjoyed our experience overall, and are glad to have stopped by to grab a bite and a beer.

Bear's Den is a hidden gem in Charleston, West Virginia. Located in the lower level of the Historic Daniel Boone Hotel, this restaurant is one of the best-kept secrets in the city. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The menu features a variety of classic American dishes, all of which are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend the burgers, wings, and steaks. The Bear's Den also has a full bar so that you can enjoy a drink with your meal. I had a wonderful experience at Bears Den Restaurant, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience...

Our service by the staff & owner was top notch! We stopped in for dinner the first night we were in Charleston. Food was well priced & tasted great! The homemade Kahula is amazing!! You have to have a shot or 3! We noticed they had Karaoke the next night & promised to be back. I am not sure they believed us but we came back the next night & with a big group! The locals were welcoming & the staff was great again! The owner Frankie is doing it right!! I suggest getting the steak sandwich with fries, a Colorado bulldog with the homemade Kahula & checking this place out! Much love...

Ordered the club, which is always the best in Charleston. I also ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich to go and got home but it was wrong. They smothered it in ranch and no Buffalo, also it was grill instead of friend but that's okay. I wiped off the ranch and added Buffalo sauce and made do. The chick was good and juicy but the loads of ranch made the buns nearly unusable since they weren't toasted or anything to help with the sauce. The bacon cheese fries are really good and so is the chick quesadilla. 99% of the time this place is a slam dunk. Overall I'm happy with it and will...
