Just stopped in James Island Chick-fil-A James Allen location to get lunch for me and my son. When I ordered the sandwich I specified Chick-fil-A sandwich just bread and chicken no pickles even said it twice. When I got my order said down at the table his sandwich had pickles on it. So I walked back up And gave it back to a cashier I told him I needed a sandwich with no pickles on it. He yelled back that he needed a sandwich with no pickles then proceeded to hand me back the pickle sandwich and said you can have this or someone at your table can have it.Knowing it would get thrown away I said OK I’ll probably eat it later.right then hearing the conversation The woman that was going to remake the sandwich.walked from the food prep area to the counter to retreave the sandwich. She reached out took the sandwich out of my hands and said I will take this and Throw it out.I just looked at her in shock for a minute then said OK...I guess. Then she repeated I’m going to throw this away.slower As if I was hard of hearing or something. The original cashier who gave it to me to eat just shrugged his shoulders. If it’s their policy to throw it out that is fine. I never asked to keep the sandwich. I gave it to the cashier to be fixed.he handed it to me and told me to keep it so it wouldn’t be wasted. It was extremely rude after he did so for the other worker to then take it and chunk it in the trash. I myself work at a restaurant. And we frequently tell customers to keep an order that was made mistakenly to keep from wasting food and an effort to be apologetic about the mistake. Some places don’t have this policy. But if one employee does it. Another employee shouldn’t take it upon themselves to Take it back just to throw it in the trash as if to prove some kind of point. Never before have I ever had an issue with the service at Chick-fil-A it’s always extremely pleasant and professional. This is not what I’ve come to expect from this restaurant and I will be going else where for lunch for a while the experience just left a really bad...
Read moreWhile they've finally got control of their traffic, they've not really produced that good chick-fil-a food we all know and love. Morning biscuits are usually undercooked, leaving them gooey and white in color. If you're used to white biscuits, you're not from the south and I feel for you. For a while they were making THE BEST biscuits I've ever had from a chick-fil-a....but that didn't last very long. Fries are always disappointing- soggy and old tasting. You can't request for them to be extra crispy/fresh due to how busy they are. A recent online order I placed was missing a sandwich. They're too busy to even fool with trying to go back and get the simple sandwich...so I paid for something we never received. We've given this chick-fil-a a lot of chances and always go back optimistically, but our last trip was the final trip for us, for a very long while. I know it's just fast food, I'm not expecting a 5 star dinner/breakfast...but I do expect a little better from the best fast food in the country. I will say, of course the staff are always a delight and pleasant...it's just the food that's a disappointment these days, unfortunately. I am pulling for you guys.
EDIT: a year later, we gave it another go. Still massively disappointing preparation after our trip to the Murrells Inlet location [100% the best chick-fil-a] and they forgot another item ordered. Literally the worst Chick-fil-a and they want to have the right to tear down grand oaks. Real cool. Destroy this chick-fil-a and...
Read moreThe is my second review for the store in the past month. Chick-fil-A to me is known as one of the best restaurants. With that said this location is the worst out of all locations I have experienced. Upon entering all the tables were dirty it took us two minutes to get someone to come wipe the tables after we had received our food. 45 minutes after our arrival the floors were still filthy with food and trash under all the tables. I watched as someone who seemed like a manager who had gotten a order wrong for a dine-in guest replaced the sandwich and took the mistaken sandwich back across the dining room behind the counter and placed it back in the warming rack. During our first visit we had a problem with the play area being filthy with trash and food and debris and the same occurred on this visit. With so much being needing to be done the dining area Echoes with the sound of crackles and laughter from the kitchen. This has continued for the 45-minute duration. Along with all of the tables being dirty none of them seem to have the assault and pepper shakers or any type of advertisement or decorative decor the other stores have. They're just dirty. This will be the last time we will be visiting this location even though we have just recently moved to the area. We will find a place that will accommodate...
