My father and I, vanquished and desperate as usual at lunch time and in a hurry to fill our bellies as cheap as possible. Lincoln Garden it is, where quantity is king and quality well,.. After finding a hair in my food, I figured oh well, it happens and at least I tried to continue on eating, My country fried steak and all its lukewarm pounds of gelatinous glory. Then it happened, another hair, and this one was black and curly and definitely no chance it was my own. I couldn't continue, it turned my stomach. Just then a waitress asked us how we were doing and my father and I told her about the not one but two hairs I had unwittingly discovered in my cfs. She came back and said "sorry we can't give you a refund cause you ate some of the food". We have been here before this past visit on Saturday, etc. We arrived about 5 pm or so for dinner. Daughter ordered a burger, hubby ordered an omelette and I ordered the fish dinner. Service was ok, kind of felt rushed by waitress wanting to take our order, maybe she was new, etc. I asked for dinner rolls that they usually bring out in the basket with crackers when you order a dinner, like I had but was informed by the waitress that they were "out of dinner rolls". ( It was the start of the dinner time basically when we were there and it wasn't that busy,etc). There were 2 other booths with people besides us there in the dining room at the time. Working in food service myself for 10+ years I have a great understanding for what it takes to have good customer service. I love coming here not only because the food is good but because the service is amazing. Laura is one of the best servers there! I'm very specific when ordering and she knew immediately how I wanted my things without having to even ask! From her close attention to detail and striving to make everyones experience the best she can give, hands down one of the top servers in town!
