Starbucks — Restaurant in Charleston

Employee at drive up window was very rude, hostile, and took it personally when I wanted to change my order to a breakfast sandwich-she was not helpful did not seem to recognize sandwich I described (egg, meat and cheese on round biscuit or muffin). I then came back in restaurant when I spilled the venti mocha I had bought and when I went to register to order another Venti, employee at drive up window who had been difficult to interact with before, looked at her co worker and said, “that is her”. I am 62 years old, have an extensive amount of years in management and administrative positions and was not in any way difficult to deal with. I was friendly and understanding that maybe she was having a bad day, and did not expect this young woman’s hostility toward me. I am quite upset now and can’t bring myself to spend a small fortune at a business that does not address this issue. I always seem to run into some issue. Issues as of late, I will slowly go through my order slowly and the person will have only gotten the size of my drink and that is it, so I then have to repeat my order and something will still be off by the time they try and pass it through the window or I get home. Or I will ask for almond milk in a frappe and it looks like they either forgot and splashed it in half way through pouring the blended mixture back into the cup or they forgot all together. Their store hours are also not visibly placed in the drive thru. Like half the other businesses in town, the hours of operation online are unreliable to go by. The staff was great. Joe was super friendly and everyone in the shop got a “hello” from him, whether they were walking in or waiting for their coffee. He was very genuine and asked if I was having a good day. I always appreciate friendly conversation.

The only reason I knocked off one star is because the restroom was out of soap, which I know isn’t a terrible thing and happens everywhere, but an employee had just come out of the restroom and went back into the kitchen/back room which means she didn’t use soap and just went about her day.
