I got the Sam's burger which was great. That addition of a little sausage does the trick! The french fries, while basic, were very good and arrived at our table hot. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich, which was good but she was disappointed with the chips, expecting warm, homemade ones but they were ok. The bartender was our "server" so had his hands full with the bar and all the tables but he did a pretty good job of keeping us taken care of. You had to go through the "private" part of the bar, through some storage, to get to the restroom, which made me wonder if I was in the right place, but it was clean and fully functioning. It is more of a bar than a restaurant, with a "bar" feel but overall, we were satisfied and would indefinitely become back for that Sam's burger!

I absolutely love this place but today I am beyond upset. I asked for a chicken Philly with no onions and another chicken Philly with Just, chicken cheese and bread and no pickle in the box one and a Steak Philly how it comes 2 out 3 of my orders was correct. The other that was wrong was mine. I called to tell them that my order was wrong and I will come back tomorrow because the roads are very slick and not safe and i’ve already came out once and wasn’t coming out again, other than the lady saying sorry about your meal, replace it and write your name down as in good customer service I was met with attitude on the phone her response was I watched him make the box. He might’ve just switched it up. ( in reference to which box, the pickle should be in) And I replied even which with the pickle being in the wrong box , the sandwich was still wrong And I would like to come back tomorrow to get my sandwich correct she replies are you gonna eat i reply, and say no she says how am I even supposed to know that you could of already eaten the food already. How would I know? I reply and say I have no problem bringing you the food that I’m not going to eat tomorrow she replies and says yeah OK and hangs up the phone I understand having a bad day, but taking it out on your customers is not professional at all .

The food was pretty good. I got a burger loaded and with cheese (they forgot my bacon!). It was done very well; thick and juicy. I prefer a thin, smash burger, but it was pretty good. Onion rings were crisp and flavorful without too much breading. Wife got the Reuben (I ate half) and it was very good, but needed more sauce. The chef didn't care for the way our fries turned out, so they not us a fresh batch without even asking! Nice! Service was excellent. The side of the restaurant we were seated looked like they were using it partially for storage, and the restroom needed some real attention. Overall, I'd still recommend this place if you like thick burgers.

Solid bar food in old dive bar setting in downtown area-look for on street parking or nearby parking garage. Bathrooms in the basement were a bit creepy. They were clean but my wife thought it was strange that the ladies room stalls had curtains instead of doors. The door to the ladies room was propped open to the hallway- I guess so you don't have to touch it. Inside the ladies room another door was partially open to another dark room -perhaps a cleaning closet. Generally creepy bathroom per the ladies - but it was clean.

The sign says Sam’s sports bar now. It’s a small dive bar but the food was absolutely amazing and affordable. I got the prime rib sandwich and I’ve never had one so flavorful and fresh fries with savory au jus sauce. My husband got the southwest burger and it was high quality, flavorful with a bite. Only suggestion is to ask for more house sauce. Thick burger, very crispy and fresh tasting bacon. Would recommend to any one.
