This is a hard rating for me as part of me wants to give it a 1 due to the service and experience I received however the food has the potential to be a 4 on its own and with good service and If I would have had the opportunity to try more beer and it been decent maybe that 4 for food could have been a 5. However my experience was not god at all so I am being generous with this rating for the fact that the food was good. My waitress had added all kinds of exclusions that appears to not be the standard and was not willing to accommodate me to options on the menu. She was also rude and direct about it. She told me I could not get certain beers in a flight when board said flight with up charge on certain beers, turns out when saying something to the bartender he told me should have got a flight and I had told him I was denied and he said oh well it’s an option for an up charge. The waitress also made a comment when I asked her about how can I try the beer I really wanted and other options without drinking a bunch and she replied if volume is a concern then you shouldn’t get any beer. The waitress also would not let me make substitutions that were listed on the menu with the burrito I ordered and once she told me that was not an option I wanted to change my order but she said you got this burrito and walked away. Really bad experience, one of the worst I have had in a while. However the food was good and had I been able to order what I wanted probably would have been amazing. The chips, salsa, guacamole and queso were delicious and hit the spot in every way. My burrito was tasty as well but I do not eat Spanish rice and beans so it was missing a side . Wife’s food also looked great and was said to be very good.

Thoughtful Fusion For my birthday dinner, we decided to try Blacksheep Burrito. After browsing through several restaurant menus filled with the usual steak, chicken, and pasta options, my wife suggested BB. She’d been there before for business happy hour events and enjoyed it. I realized it had been nearly a decade since we’d eaten there together. While I’m a fan of the Californian burrito concept and frequent spots like Hellbenders in Davis or Black Bear in Morgantown, Blacksheep hasn’t been on my radar as much. The menu, however, is outstanding—an exciting mix of street tacos, quesadillas, burgers, salads, and, of course, burritos. Their focus on Asian and Mexican fusion offers a thoughtful blend of flavors, paired with a full bar featuring microbrews and cocktails. Our server was excellent and brought me a couple of beer samples to try before I settled on a Kölsch, which I really enjoyed. To start, we ordered chips and queso. The queso was delicious—creamy and flavorful. I’d definitely order it again. For entrees, my wife chose the breakfast burrito, while I opted for three street tacos: Korean bulgogi, Thai shrimp, and Chipotle Orange pork, served with a cold Korean noodle salad. While the concept of the tacos was exciting, the execution was a one sided. The bulgogi was just sweet, and the shrimp taco leaned heavily on spice without much complexity. I saved the pork taco for lunch, so I can’t comment yet, but I did prefer my wife’s black beans over the noodles on my plate. That said, the prices are fair given today’s dining landscape, and I’d certainly return to give other dishes a try. Next time, I’m definitely ordering the General Tso’s Burrito—it’s been on my list for ages.

Stopped for lunch, this restaurant has adequate seating for a party of 200! A fully stocked bar, bartender included! Wait staff is prompt and friendly. Dining area's appear clean and stocked with appropriate condiments. I ordered the barbacoa beef quesadillas and coke. The portion was plentiful, the barbacoa was extremely mild but flavorful. The choice of cheese & flour tortilla complements the beef nicely. On the side was a small portion of black beans mixed with corn an something else, it tastes like their take on pico "maybe". It was fresh and flavorful, excellent addition to the quesadilla. I requested a side of their salsa "no up charge". The salsa is prepared fresh, mild and packed with the flavor of authentic Mexican salsa! I was mildly impressed ☺. Coke was over iced, definitely ask for light ice. I scored them at 4 stars, solely on the price! My single quesadilla and coke was $13.50 before tip! I rate their price as 20% overvalued. However, I can see why they would need that additional 20%, their location and dining room size is what they are charging for in this instance. This would be a great restaurant to hold banquets, group lunches, celebrations etc. Honestly, Black sheep should market this highlight to bring in additional guests!!! Huge untapped growth potential!!! My opinion is the additional 20% cost is justifiable but unnecessary with further business development. To reiterate, I had a excellent dinning experience and will return in the near future! They do offer local delivery in the downtown area, I forgot to ask about any order minimums!
