Best Wok — Restaurant in Charlotte

First time eating here..the food was good...nothing special....I went in around 9 on a Saturday night...the lady at the register seemed to rush me as I was ordering...i got the broccoli in garlic sauce and i specifically asked did it come with rice and she said yes...when i got home and opened my bag..i had no rice ...i tried to call but nobody answered the phone...they are closed on Sundays so for me to try and go back for something on Monday that happened on Saturday night for me is a lot. I called around 9:30 but nobody wanted to answer the phone I guess because they were closing at 10...😡😡 But i will go bck on Monday and see what happens.. But my first time was not very good. I spoke to them first as I walked in which i feel should be the other way around and then i felt rushed...and they messed up my order by leaving food out ...not good..and when I tried to vall back...no answer...I feel they need to work on customer service skills....if you dont want to work then close earlier....dont rush me and then rush my food only to mess up my order.

And also the prices on the menu online are different than the prices once you get inside the business Someone need to update the website to reflect the real prices..prices...

What Happened!!!! I used to live in Charlotte but I come home about twice a year to visit. This restaurant was a MUST visit to eat. They had the best Chinese food and I couldn’t wait to get home to savor it. I went there yesterday evening for me and my son ( who never had their food) and ordered chicken wings, 2 hot n sour soups, Hunan chicken, triple delight and wonton soup. Everything was tasteless. The only seasoning I could taste in the soup and the dinners were heavy sodium. The hot n sour soup was NOTHING like I was used to from them and I was sad. What happened? Did you change cooks? Are you training other nationalities to cook your food? Did you change recipes? Please fire the cooks and go back to your original recipes.

The atmosphere was so dark when I entered the restaurant. There used to be people sitting eating and in/out with orders. That should have been my first sign. The ladies at the counter were super friendly though.

Your restaurant will not be on my go to list when I come back...

I went for a lunch special and I wanted to try something that I never had before. I went for the pad Thai chicken. This dish has whole peanuts in it but I was asked if I wanted the peanuts when I ordered. The dish has a sauce that taste like savory, sweet, and sour. Also, there are rice noodles. When I looked up the ingredients on a website, tofu is mentioned as well as egg. I do not recall seeing egg or tofu. According to the website that I was using to research the dish, the rice noodles are stir-fried. There was a green vegetable in the dish, not sure what it was. The chicken is sliced thin, I think that I would have liked to have my chicken cooked a little longer, but it was tender and flavorful. There is a large portion size serving, I took over half of it home. You can choose between an egg roll or two chicken wings. I chose the chicken wings, they were flavorful and crunchy.
