Only thing that was great was the tenders and the bbq burnt ends. I really had big expectations of this restaurant, but was totally disappointed. First of all, my partner and I spent $40 dollars because we read the reviews and were just like maybe it’s a “see for yourself” type of ordeal, but boy were we wrong. When the owner came over, we tried to tell him about how the food was, and don’t you know he came up with some bull excuse about how most restaurants can’t get their brisket OR their ribs tender because of “health codes” they have to follow! Man, that was a load of bologna. He said that they smoked them for ten hours plus, so that’s just the way good bbq is, tough!? Like dude, are you really that delusional. I was so pissed I didn’t even cause a problem, I’d rather just pay and leave. The macaroni and cheese had ZERO FLAVOR! The collard greens tasted like they probably weren’t washed but were just thrown in some water, and like they put just black pepper in it, then the brisket was so tough that it was all in my teeth and partners, and was just aggravating trying to eat something that you know ain’t supposed to be like that. Needless to say, this restaurant reminds me of that mean couple on Gordon Ramsey who literally thought they knew how things were supposed to go, but didn’t get any business because nobody couldn’t tell them anything. This, is restaurant...
Read moreMe and my father went here after a 4 hr hike, so we were STARVING. I got the pulled pork sandwich and the pork belly burnt ends while my dad got the brisket. While I appreciate hospitality and humor, the cashier made some jokes at my expense while we were ordering which is all fine being guys and all, but felt a little out of line, especially being first time customers. The atmosphere felt like your traditional small town BBQ restaurants, with their own homemade hot sauces and BBQ sauces neatly placed near the counter for you to try. My pulled pork sandwich was pretty good, though I wouldn't call traditional as it felt more minced than chopped, but had good flavor. The burnt ends were good, but not great with the sauce masking a lot of the imperfections of the smoking of the meat. Mac and cheese and collards were a little bland for my taste even though the cashier came by the table to tell us the Mac and cheese was made with 'real cheese', but shouldn't all Mac and Cheese be? My dad enjoyed his brisket, but I found it to be over done, with no visible smoke ring or juices flowing from it with a gentle squeeze. Not a bad spot to grab a BBQ lunch, but won't be rushing to recommend...
Read moreBubbles has a very nice friendly atmosphere a clean facility inside and I understand they've been closed for about 2 years due to the covid virus coming on but now that they reopens they seem like they own a pretty good path with exception too a few things that I see in my opinion that would help me come back again and that is number one I ordered a half of ribs a half a rack of ribs and it was $19 they were pretty good quality but the price is still too high for half a rack of pork ribs also the ribs appeared to be boiled not real or smoke and then top with barbecue sauce which was kind of okay but for me I can't eat that like that anymore it has to be real and or smoke or both sausage is pretty good french fries or a little bit underrated I had to buy that separate but other than that I will give them like between 1 and 10:00 I'd maybe give them a five or six and finally they need to cut trim and Edge up that lawn outside cuz it still makes it look like the place is closed if they take care of that they should be okay I mean take care of all of...
