This happen last year; consequently, I have been sick and was not able to write the review, until now.
Previous reviews narrate that this company has some of the best food BUT they also have some of the nastiest attitudes & no patience.
The issue began when I experienced indifference from the young man that wears eye-glasses who works the register,
To illustrate, I purchase some fish and fried okra. Everything smells good and it looks good; BUT when he rang it up the price on the screen and my receipt did not reflect the price on the display window, which was $9.99; so I simply asked him why he charged $10.99lb when another price is on the display window $9.99lb.
So he looked at me shaking his head and said, “This is the price, the worker forgot to change it and I'm not going to change it for you."
Then I said, “well if we were in a regular store you would have to give me the price on the window,”
Then he went back to the register tapping on the keys and handed me another receipt to reflect a credit issued to my debit card for the purchase I just made, so I asked him, “What are you doing”?
Then he said, “I Don't Need Your Money," so I asked him to repeat what he said then he repeated it he and said, “I Don't Need Your Money.”
Then he removed the bag from the counter.
My daughter was with me who witness the entire exchange so she asked him "Do you realize that you are talking to an elderly woman?" then he said and I quote, "She just a person to me." This is the truth, I kid you not.
Next he said something in a foreign language and pointed at one of the women working then she went over to the display and she changed the price on the window (see pictures attached).
There are many businesses who make wealths of money in this country that operate under this disrepectful mindset, and it should not be tolerated.
Eitherway, I distanced myself from this shop.

Read moreI cannot believe what I experienced today, (12/14/24) at Central Fish Market! I’ve been a long-time customer of theirs so I am truly shocked by this experience. A Latina woman walked in ‘after’ I did waiting to be helped. There were only 2 women workers in the front and they were both cleaning fish. The short, chubby Latina woman started talking Spanish to the lady that came in ‘after’ I did and started getting her some shrimp. This bothered me that she decided to help someone that came in after I did but I let it go and did not say a word about the blatant disrespect. After she gave the woman her shrimp, she looked at me with a nasty smirk and turned around and started back cleaning the fish without saying a word to me! Everyone in the market was in disbelief at what she just did! I just walked out. Before I drove off, I called into the market and asked if a manager was on duty. The same rude woman answered the phone and told me NO and hung up on me! I called right back and asked her why she hung up on me and she stated because I asked for a manager and she told me one wasn’t there, as if that was an acceptable reason to hang up on someone. The type of unprofessional and rude behavior this woman has is totally unacceptable and she should not be allowed to interact with any customers. Read moreThis was my first time ever going to this place. I was told that it’s pretty good with cooking fish. I went to order some fish and the lady some Hispanic lady was very rude in the beginning. I put my order in for what I want to have my fish cleaned and packaged so I could take it. Another person or two walked in And was ordering fish the same way just cleaned cut and packaged. Well, somehow, even though I ordered before them, I ended up at the back of the line. It was some confusion by the Manager, which I don’t understand when I explain to him that why was I last . isn’t your policy first come first serve? When I was talking to the manager that same, Hispanic lady was very flustered and yelled here it is here it is. And then walked away Shaking her head.
